Currently on FOXSports 2 they're replaying Bulldogs vs Roosters - Round 9, 2003.
I remember being there and the closeness of the game made me forget about that travesty of a video ref decision.
Andrew Ryan is offside by a metre in front of the kicker in Brent Sherwin and always remains inside the 10 metres of the ball (when that rule applied). Anthony Minichiello fumbles the ball (backwards) trying to clean it up as Todd Byrne is shadowing him for protection, Braith Anasta takes him out while he's trying to stand his ground. Andrew Ryan then toes the ball through and basically jumps on it in the in goal.
It goes to the video referee and Mick Stone awards it.
Rabs, Sterlo and Fatty all calling it no try, as it was. But then again, nothing else was said about it. They were too excited about the 'thrilling' game. Sterlo actually says at the end "It's heart breaking for Ricky Stuart and his men, but it's the way it should have finished." How the fark does he come to that conclusion?! Idiot.
I clearly remember that being one of the greatest examples of 'sore winners' that I've ever had to encounter. All of those fuktards were running up to ANYONE in a Roosters jersey and screaming in their faces. It was disgusting. Just like the game.
