I read somewhere that Trent went to NZ during the season the pick up some pointers from the Union boys over there. Someone should get a tape of the All Blacks masterclass against the Wallabies in the first half tonight and show it to our Roosters. That's what you do to sub standard teams.

Friend was missed in the second half against Manly. Tonight he was average but Friend was brilliant last week against the Storm. He did take the wrong option towards the end of that game passing down the short side but for the rest of that game he was close to the best on the field along with Watson last week.

For a highly rated hooker, Friend can be pretty average at the best of times. At least in attack anyhow.

It must be difficult for Friend. He must shoulder the attack workload, as he has no confidence in Pearce. Keary's shortkicking game has come on, lately. Sadly, Pearce is a punting lock, not a halfback.

Valid points you raise - I have always liked Friend however over time it has lessened. Just his options at times whilst Pearce is not performing or faltering under pressure is my main concern. It is apparent our senior players like these 2 and loose cannon JWH just so problematic at times.Fergo has been the real surprise of late. I will still support Pearce and Friend however the end of the Friend Pearce combo can't come quick enough for mine due to the addition of Tedesco and the takent in our lower ranks. It was notable that our vibe changed last night late in the game when Watson came on. Hopefully the future Friend and Pearce replacements have brains and speed.

I thought we showed good composure last night when we went behind. Tetevano pushed one pass that didn't need to be pushed but outside of that we didn't try anything overly crazy in trying to come from behind, we just stuck to what we had been doing all game and that's hard when you dominate field position like the way we had all second half but didn't come up with points yet.
