You're a ****ing cheat. Spray 'em Smithy.

Devcich wasn't much better but he was just incompetent and fell into line.

When Laurie Daley is calling for penalties for US, somethings fishy.

He was very pleased with that forward pass call.

Be couldn't even hide his joy.

I dunno if it beats when the penalty count was 9-3 and Farah got let off with a warning for a blatant penalty.

Dude I have restrained myself until now as you have been on the wall since i was. But for god's sake, take a break with the Smith bashing and Easts-bashing. Use what is left of your brain and edit what comes out of your keyboard typing hand.

Sad to say I second that.

Robinson is incompetent and has been for a while - I don't think he's a cheat like De Las Heras, I just think he is a moron.

There is no such thing as a non 50/50 with him. He doesn't watch the game and when there is a decision to make he just guesses.

Smith says players should be proud
                          Matt Trodden
                          24/07/2011 12:53:51 AM

Roosters coach Brian Smith has lamented at his lack of good fortune in the wake of their 19-12 loss to the Tigers at Leichhardt Oval.

The major talking point in the game was a pass from Todd Carney to Braith Anasta which was ruled forward with Anasta in the clear, and the score at 18-12.

Anasta would almost certainly have scored, and possibly levelled to the scores with only minutes remaining. And following the game, Smith was clearly disappointed with the decision.

“It’s tough for referees,” Smith said.

“That’s two games in a row where we’ve lost on a pass that was forward. Last week it was two metres forward.”

“This week we throw one that’s not and the referee sees it as forward.”

The Roosters fought valiantly in defence, but a 9-5 penalty count against them gave quality ball to the Tigers, who took their chances to run away with the game.

While clearly frustrated with the loss, Smith praised the efforts of his men, saying they should be proud despite the result.

“There was no reward as far as competition points go,” Smith said.

“But I thought the boys got a lot of reward for themselves out of this one.”

“It started with the odds stacked against us, and it kept getting deeper as the game went on.”

“They refused to give in, and I’m really pleased with the way they put in tonight.”

Smith also praised his sides defence early in the game, where the Tigers had a large amount of ball on the Roosters line, but only scored eight points. When the Roosters got their first opportunity at the other end, they converted with a try to Joseph Leilua.

“The first time we got a penalty in the game we scored off it,” he said.

“All of a sudden the scoreboard was looking like it could have been and should have been, and I thought we grew from that.”

“The back-end of the half we executed well, but the second half we lost our way a little bit with the good ball we had.”

And even with two disappointing losses in a row, Smith believed that they fight was well within the team, and that it wouldn’t take much to keep the team spirits up.

“The way they’re playing at the moment I wouldn’t have thought so,” he said.

“Right across the board we had a real good crack at them, they played some good footy and it’s just a shame that the game was decided on a big play like that tonight.”

“If the breaks go our way, the wins will come.”
                          lol.

He rightfully got the praise last year and is rightfully getting bagged this year

A lot of it falls at his feet. It's the same side. Other teams have adapted to the new interpretations and developed but we have gone backwards. Sure there are reasons but there is no excuse to be languishing so far down the table this far into the year
