  • Should I be putting my dinero on the Chookies this weekend?

I know the Storm are expected to win by a lot but why can't we back our boys?

At 3.16 (can probably get better elsewhere) it's tempting to pop a cheeky bet on us. I don't like betting but I reckon #1 v #2 SHOULD be closer odds than that.

Every week we have like a 20 minute period where our attack is unstoppable. While I hate to blame injures, last week sorta was a case of us being ahead (despite injuries) and then 2 men going down. Most of these guys are back and I reckon we need to stop being so bloody scared of the Storm!

They are not THAT good. Basically they have a couple of fast wingers, a solid spine and 1 or 2 decent forwards who specialise in slowing down the ruck. IMO a good coach can crack the Storm HARD if they put their mind to it. They really don't have attack that's as good as ours. For all their penalties and domination of field position, they've only scored a few more points than us this season. I'm gonna put it out there... we have better atrack than the Storm and can win if we're steady, and back our 2nd phase plays

      They are THAT good.

But that doesn't mean we can't win.

We can win this,Boyd and Jake will tighten up the defense in the middle.Latrell needs early ball from keary everybody is talking about the storm wingers but nobody is talking about Latrell he has the ability to wreck havoc on the Storm Manu is not too bad on the wing either.Looking forward to watching Latrell run over the top of slater and he will one on one.Latrell to score a double for us and roosters by 4 is my bet.

I think we'll be up for this game more than they will. They have nothing to prove. We do.

At full strength they've probably got the best spine I've ever seen at club level.

And their 3/4s of Vunivalu, JAC, Chambers and Scott are awesome.

And then you have their forwards who are very big and strong with the likes of JBrom, Finucane, McLean, Kaufusi, Asofa Solomona, Glasby, and also Harris who's been injured most of the year.

Imo it's as complete a footy side as we were in 2013 and if they win the comp they'll go down as one of the better club teams of recent years.

Still, anything can happen. A HIA... or a burst of magic from Latrell. Or even pouring rain to upset their rhythm.

So in a way it's relaxing because they absolutely should win the comp so if we pull off an upset this week or in the finals then what a bonus it'd be.

A couple of fast wingers, a solid spine and one maybe two decent forwards lol. Post of the year hahaha, you have made the Storm sound like they are the Tigers.

Not true. Melbourne will be out to prove they are first and daylight is second.

Melbourne is up for almost every game. That's the difference between them and most other teams. You rarely get a bad performance out of the Storm, whereas other teams, even the better ones, are good for 4-5 each year, Even when the Storm lose, it is rarely a bad performance.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

Storm are are side which can't be underestimated , the Game plan they adopt and its execution is often tailor made for each team is not rushed although relentless , until they expose the weaknesses they have identified.

Even if we repel the first assault rest assured they will return till a crack opens.

I for one am looking forward to the challenge ahead for the Roosters as long as "the Bondi Wall" holds and we make a match of it I will be happy and it will be worth the Costs for the trip down there to watch and might even cover the cost of extra jackets for the foul Melbourne weather.

No matter the result, remember we are building for the end of the season.

I read Jizm's post then I read your one man

While I wished Jizms rings true, yours is the voice of reason.

So far this year they have successfully already proven that.
I'll still be selecting the mighty chooks in my nrl tipping comp of course
