On the contrary I believe we were missing our two best players in Cordner and SST.
I agree I don't think we will win especially with Gordon out as his experience and class would be crucial in reading the big 3s trickshots.
But SST and Cordner can transform our team so I'm at least hopeful that we'll make the Storm work for the win.
I want the Roosters to win but realistically I think they are in for another big loss.

the Storm's 10x the team we are this season and we can rightfully expect a fair belting up the backside. No shame in it!!
my only hopes are:
1. That we give it a fighting chance!!! I remember in year 12 I was forced to do a 1500m championship race (and I was a frigging 200-400m sprinter). 2 People in that race later represented Australia at the commonwealth games for 1500m and I knew they were freaks. My coach said 'DON'T FARKING PUSSY FOOT AROUND AND GO ALL CONSERVATIVE JUST BECAUSE IT'S NOT YOUR EVENT!! GIVE IT A FARKING GO!!! START OFF HARD AND TRY TO STICK WITH THEM!!!' I didn't win, but I came 3rd (despite the fact it REALLY wasn't my event). I expect the same from the Roosters, A HARD SLOG... not some farking soft, timid effort just because Melbourne are favourites.
2. WE ALL KNOW MELBOURNE WIN BY SLOWING DOWN THE RUCK AND CROWDING PLAYERS!!! They ALWAYS get away with it, so work your tactics!!! I really wanna see us at least try to crack the Storm's gameplan. Don't care if we get beaten, I just wanna see us try something new and unexpected. For example, why not call to your team mate that he's been crowded so that he doesn't get up and 'knock-on' right away? Have a sign so that when you're crowded you work out who is crowding, call their position, play the ball slowly (so you don't knock it on) and run at the gap created by lazy tackling. Replace some of that haste with speed and efficiency. As a sprinter, I had a tactic that after 'set' I'd take my sweet time because you have unlimited time between 'set' and 'go'. By doing this I controlled the pace of the race and forced other runners to false start during the tension. People who knew me worked out equally annoying tactics... controlling the tempo from the start was always key, regardless of how everything else went. FIND A TACTIC TO STOP THE STORM SETTING THE PACE FROM THE START!!! I dunno how, but at least try to Robbo!!!
3. I want some bick hits on crack sniffer!!! Remember how the Storm choked during his suspension? It is NOT all about Gronk, Ramjet and Cockroach. JB is their enforcer and currently he's making JWH look like a pussy cat. LEVEL IT SON!!! No, not by doing some stoopid farking penalty that gets you suspended!!! Be patient and do him slowly when the moment presents itself... do that and we'll be able to rush their playmakers.
There's Jizzy's coaching tactics for the week. Give us a call laterz if you've got a job for us Robbo... maaate!
Why dont we bring in someone expendable like Evans or Guerra (nah probably Evans) and give him the license to shoulder charge and coat hanger the big 3 into season ending injuries. I mean no one gets sent off for these sort of things anymore so who cares if he gets suspended for 8 weeks as long as we can smash the big 3. If they come back before season ends then maybe other clubs can continue the tactics of smashing those 3 on or off the ball so all they will be doing is watching their back all game lol.

In Rd 16 when the Roosters played them the Roosters had their best team on the paddock whilst the Storm were missing the best 3 players in the game. This time they will be playing whilst the Chooks will be without Gordon & Tupou plus Friend & Cordner havnt played for weeks.
Like I said the Storm 13 plus.Originally posted by Bondi Boy

SET PLAYS
the storm will have done their homework and they will have several set plays with variations of each.
also, we need to watch their Olympic sprint quality wingers that double up as weight lifters. Strong, fast, mothers.
we could get smashed. But then again so could they . They need to rest their entire regular starting 17Roosters For Ever

melbas are the most complete play to structure and patient team in the comp .Always have been.
You have to take a leaf out of Freddys book to beat them he had the game to do it.
Melbourne do not like to be turned around.
Keary has got to play left and right and same for Pearce
Kicking game must be at its best- just keep turning them around.
Then theres defence circa 2013 would be nice. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

.
But they get a lot of help in this regard.
Can only wonder how the nrl would approach this whole "wrestling" business if the Roosters started it?
Why is Cameron Smith the games managers best friend?
F*ck melbourne.
They have done more harm to this sport than good

When we play a decent side we get smashed. Manu is good for at least 2 tries for Melbourne. I don't know how we can persist with a centre who just cannot tackle. Yes I know he can attack but when it comes to the other half of the game he is just not up to scratch. He is too much of an obvious target.

Phuck I'm sick of all the media love for the storm and what a complete package and wonderful football team they are and how awesome Bellamy and the big three are and how every man and his dog keeps regurgitating the same shite out about how good they are.
Still cheats still the same coach and many of the same players, still the same captain that argues the penalty with the ref when a young kid is lying on the ground paralysed when it was plan to see to the whole world watching at the instant it happened that it was really really serious. Still the same prick who leads with his feet to stop a try amongst every other grubby tactic. Still the same team that stifle the game to win it which if ultimately successful will kill the game. Bromwich does coke and gets a two week rest and the media drop it after two weeks -skd gets kicked out of our club.
Double standards for this cheating bunch of pricks who this week announce they celebrate the ten year anniversary of a title they were stripped of.
Stop loving these pricks stop admiring how wonderful they are it's fkn sickening I can't read it anymore.
