At the start of the year, nobody rated manly to even be a top 12 spot. Up until 4 days ago, many still didn't rate manly. So bit rich to say they were the tough part of our draw.They would have been down there with playing, tigers,titans and knights twice, that's a pretty good draw.

Barrett would have to be close to coach of the year. Wright, Lane, Uate, Kelly, Parker, Winterstein,Lussick, Perrett,Sironen, Fonua-Blake etc. Would we have had any of these guys in our top 18-20 at the start of the year. A crap bunch of players who could barely hold a first grade spot elsewhere. Classic money ball squad.

How is that even close to "not much difference"?

Because the comp is dog shit this year. No team outside of the Storm have looked remotely like a premiership team. The quality of football has been in a tailspin for the last 3 seasons.

I can't think of a more underwhelming NRL season than this one. Maybe 2006 is the last one that was at such a low level (Bulldogs, Panthers, and our dominant periods were well and truly toast, Storm and Manly hadn't clicked yet).

Seriously you could probably take any top 8 side from 2013, plop them in this comp, and they'd take the thing out barely breaking a sweat
