I know we have a "Plethora" (yes I've been dying to use that word) of backrowers, but does anyone think we still miss a ball playing second rower? I'm not sure who that guy is in our team. Boyd is our best by far imo but that's not really his go. To me they all seem to play the same game.
Evans has the ability but plays too tight and usually comes up with an error instead. But the old running second rower would offer another dimension to our attack which is pretty regimented at times

I though matterson was going to be that player, but seems like he will be another backrower who will hide out in the centers, miss the players like fletcher, Solomona and SBW.

I think it comes down to the coaches instructions.

Look at the Cowboys - they wouldn't know what an offload is.

Matterson strikes me as more than capable but seeing as he's still finding his feet in FG he's probably being told to just run hard.

I do think offloads would add another dimension to our game though. The Broncos 2nd phase play can be devastating and I'd like to see us follow suit.

Farking origin. It's a calf strain- these things are never 100%. He'll have to ease it in or he'll wreck it again which is exactly what would have happened origin 3. Comes back and tears in. His 110% playing style is his strength and his weakness. Always has been.
I have had a calf strain all year, just when I think its healed I twinge it again. I am 44 through

I saw a cow straining to produce a calf.....................I live in the country these days.

44 years ago, a higher % of the population might laugh at that.

Would you want him to play for us in a grand final in those circumstances? Of course you would. Well see to the players an origin decider is just about as big as a grand final so of course he is going to err on the side of playing.

I know you don't like it and would rather see him put the roosters first but it's just not how it works.

Will Manu play? JT and Hess running at him? JT with the big step. I'm not sure his arm grabbing would have an impact............
I thought our defense looked really strong last week v knights with Mr fix it Maubs in the centres.

he played a one off game equivalent to a grand final if he wasnt fully fit with the same injury for the grand final you can bet he would play the whingers would probably criticise him if he played last week and got injured for the rest of the season and couldnt play at all

Ridiculous to say that Cordner is being selfish... he doesn't owe a fan anything..ZERO!. He'll play for his club and fans and do his best but at the end of the day it's #1 and his family first like any of us would do.

Someone posed the question in here of whether Horrie would have preferred one premiership with Easts or a decade-long Origin career.

                        I asked him.

                        Without hesitation he said premiership.

I'd be more supportive of Cordner playing a one-off winner takes all game beast type act, even though he can't play club games either side of this, if he was even there in SOO3. All I'm left to do is wonder if it hurt more than helped that team and our own, considering neither benefitted.

I asked Cordner when he's coming back at the members BBQ. He said' "Unlikely to be back this week but definitely next week."
