  • sounding like Cordner won't play this week either

so pissed off that he played for NSW a couple of weeks ago, he clearly wasn't right to play and now we are the ones paying the price, reading today's injury report it sounds like he won't play again for us this week.

The Roosters returned to the field on the back of a bye round last Friday night with a different looking side to cover for a few missing pieces to the squad.
After recovering well over the weekend, it is confirmed that all 17 players that took to the field against the Knights will again be available for selection this afternoon for our Saturday night clash against the Cowboys.
Siosiua Taukeiaho made his return from a hamstring injury off the bench against the Newcastle Knights and made it through the match without an issue.
While Michael Gordon and Jake Friend still have some recovering and rehab to get through, Boyd Cordner is fighting hard to make his return to the field.
He dealt with a calf issue throughout the State Of Origin series, so as a precaution the medical and training staff have been working close with Cordner to get him training before rushing him back to the field.
It is still unclear as to whether or not he will return this week, but he is not far off taking to the field.

If it isn't right then why did the bloke play origin. The next couple of weeks are crucial to how our season finishes, we really need him back.

        Same.

        Broncos about 6-7 weeks ago?

        Get used to it.

Origin Boyd will play a max of 16 club games a year from now on in true Gallen tradition.

I heard it was a knee situation.

In hindsight it could just be what the Roosters need come semi finals.

Let him rest and get it 100%, we will need him later more than now.

Personally I reckon he was nowhere near fit origin 3. I said at the time he'd be out 3-4 weeks starting after origin 3. Effing hell.

Farking origin. It's a calf strain- these things are never 100%. He'll have to ease it in or he'll wreck it again which is exactly what would have happened origin 3. Comes back and tears in. His 110% playing style is his strength and his weakness. Always has been.

Boyd is my favourite Rooster but it's a shame that he put the Blues over the Roosters in terms of priority on this occasion.

Clearly he shouldn't have played game 3.

The team above can and will beat the Cowboys!!!! (Provided Evans stays at 18th man - don't need his handling errors against the Cowboys)

If I was given the honour of captaining my state in SOO decider, I'd bust my back to play.

regrettable this decision has resulted in prolonged recovery but understandable

i think it unfair to pass judgment of Boyd's decision
