Enjoy the cash mate,he might joining Brendan Elliot in reserves, the club have done well as Lachlan Lam will be ready for a bit of first grade next year.
The world is full of Kings & Queens, who blind your eye's & steal your dreams!
Wish him well. I think he is a fullback but not at Newcastle with Ponga. If he is gonna play 6 he must have a 7 that can do all the game management, including kicking.
As for Lachlan Lam I admit I have never seen him play but I haven't heard anyone on here say anything positive about him. I think Radley will slot into 14 easily. Defends well, is a good size and can cover so many positions.

Where he will play will depend on Cronk I suggest - if Cronks plays on the word is it will be at the Sharks who then would release Maloney - Knights and Warriors interesting in Maloney if that happens - If say Maloney signs with the Knights he will want to play 5/8 - the position Watson has been offered although Maloney can play 1/2- Might find himself in a similar position as at the Roosters - bench utility??

Lam is a few years from NRL I suggest but is making good progress only just 19- a 5/8 which might be an issue when he is NRL ready if Keary still here. Like Watson may have to go elsewhere for a starting role.
If Maloney goes to Knights for a million a season he will be half and Watson 5/8 and Lamb in reggies. Maloney for getting a million a season will have take on the responsibility that goes with the pay and be the senior playmaker and that means he will play at 7.
I reckon Newcastle should play him at FB & maybe move Ponga into the halves.
I really like Connor Watson & I hope he plays FG for at least the next 10 years. I believe he is a champion player & its a pity the Roosters couldnt keep him.

Will be interesting to see what they do if they sign Maloney.
They have a couple of extremely promising young halves who would instantly fall down the pecking order.

Who is extremely promising? Lamb looks the goods but feeney is just awful. Not a first grader at all. If they sign maloney, which they won't, I think lamb could make it as a lock.

I actually grew up running around playing with both the cogger kids in their backyard. Good kids. Still a few years away from first grade. Can't see how maloney being there would hinder his future.
