I just read this tid bit from Vossy's column on foxsports:

    Schoolboy footy

"The GIO Cup returned to Fox League on Sunday and viewers would have witnessed a cracking try inside the first minute. Patrician Brothers Blacktown will be one of the favourites this year. In their side is possibly one of the best young backrowers I’ve seen in Joshua Curran. The Roosters have him on a three-year contract."

Anyone seen this kid play? Has he played much U20s? Will certainly have to keep an eye on the Schoolboys Cup.

Plays 20s most weeks. I haven't noticed him that much, but vossy is a far better judge than I am.

If it's the kid that I think it is that wears the White headgear off the bench then he is definitely a goer. Had no idea he was only 17. Runs a great unders line. His timing on his lines for such a young player is exceptional. Natural line runners are so hard to find nowadays. I haven't been able to catch the 20s for quite some time now but what I noticed about him from early on is that he creates plenty of opportunities with this enthusiasm and great lines but struggles with his handling. Quite often I've seen him drop the short pass after leading with a good line or drop the ball over the line with attention from defenders. Seems like a really unlucky kid. But that's only from about 3 games (including the Manly trial) that I've seen him in. So I'm possibly misrepresenting him here. Looks to have a great attitude though. Is always absolutely irate with himself after an error. And does try to make up for it with his defence afterwards. Doesn't go back into his shell. Has an excellent tackling technique from memory too.

Played for the same junior club as Luke Keary (Hills Bulls), hopefully he can make as big an impression.

Haven't seen alot, but what I have seen wasn't that impressive. Bad hands and plenty of dropped ball.
But he does come with a decent reputationand hopefully will be good
