Sign Matt Dunning while you are at it. Give him the job as dietician as well.

I don't think Michael "I am not related to John Cartwright" McGurk was ever on our board, was he?

Maybe the Roosters are worried about rumors questioning Carney's desire to play for the club next year. I hope (and believe) this rumor is unfounded but contracts seem to be less and less binding to the point that a club can turf a player on a whim and a player is just as capable of turfing his club for a better offer elsewhere.

spot on - that's as close to a "plan" as old Nick gets

Just need to add in not allowing qualified people to do their jobs and running the joint like a dysfunctional family business and you have old Uncle Nick down to a tee

That same plan resulted in 6 grand finals, maybe nick should have played in the 5 we lost

                    This point is often neglected.

Imagine the pain of Raiders fans. In their case it's not just a similie.

They couldn't be in more pain than me

They struggle to get players to want to live in that freezing bore of a town, but they unearth a lot more quality players than we do.

They also buy a lot less overpriced duds than we do

I know mate, people also forget quickly the decade of excellence. I don't always agree with his choices but his results are good

We've unearthed some good talent also. In terms of players making their first grade debut at the Roosters we aren't doing too badly.

                            Minichiello
                            Perrett
                            Pearce
                            SKD
                            M Aubusson
                            Kennedy
                            Friend
                            Cherrington
                            FPN
                            Arona
                            Leilua

We may buy more overpriced duds than them but we've also won a competition and made 5 Grand Finals since 2000. They haven't looked like doing either of those things during that period.

I know which I would prefer.

Lets spend shit loads of money on a Union player who can't tackle for shit...
Washed up League players look like superstars in that game.
