  • I'll say it...

Because I know next time we get belted the same few will be bagging him...

Pearce had a ripper... lovely passes, found space with almost all his kicks, got a lot of them to sit up nicely in the in goal, forced repeat sets, lead the kick chase...

You can't ask for much more.

Carney went missing after about 10-20 minutes. Anasta didn't, unfortunately, which meant he just disrupted the backline.

Pearcey carried our attack, and he may as well get some credit for it, considering nothing else he does on here is ever praised.

i noticed alot during the game that Pearce, especially when attacking the $ouff$ right hand defence, was playing as 5/8 and carney as the first receiver.

Pearce did some very good things tonight, both in attack and defence.

I only have one criticism of Pearce, when the game was on the line he went missing, not him alone but he should have got into position on that last play for a field goal, that is when the game was on the line, his previous 79mins was some of his best

I would like to see Pearce and Carnage together without Bwaiff.

Would be interesting to see what could develop.

Again Bwaiff clogged one side of the field. I havent been negative about him for ages but really hes another OldFitzy clogging a side in attack. Its soooooooooo predictable.

I would like to see Pearce and Carney play with fast outside backs instead of the two slowest wingers in the comp.

Carney usually doesn't kick to our wingers because he knows it is a waste of time. Tonight he tried it once but was again reminded why he has stopped kicking.

Then the question needs to be asked, if the bomb has not been successful, why go back to it??? Especially when we are 10 out from the try line. Why not put the ball on the deck with a grubber??? Just saying

HorrieIsGod has been howling for the grubber all season. 2 times we did the deed tonite for 2 results, 1 a try and the other a drop out.

              You are right Muzza.

I've been saying the same things backwards, there were a whole glut of games where we did not force a repeat set from a kick in the whole match, and that cost us big time, we relied on the bomb too much and did not utilise the grubber. Thats why i wanted to ask the question.

Yep Muzz its been a talking point up this way maaaaaaaaaaate.

Repeat sets, a basic build pressure thingy, not our strong point this season.

When the game was on the line, we had a bloke who was still out of it at dummy half.

Anthony Mitchell had no clue where he was till he sobered up between full time and the start of Golden Point.

I know you can't stand the bloke, and you like to have a crack at him, but blaming Pearce for not moving Ryles and clearing our knocked-out bench hookers head at dummy half is a bit rich, isn't it?

Pearce was great. I love when he plays direct and launches those long passes on to the chest of our players. I wish he would do it more often, because he wouldn't get the ribbing that he does. Some of those short balls were pretty good too.

Loved seeing grubbers and repeat sets. Being screaming for them all year. Our wingers are nailed to the ground, so it was beyond me why we went to the air. Grubbers work. In fact I would say they are a higher percentage play than bombs in getting something advantageous to the attacking side.

Isn't it funny what happens when a couple of forwards make yards and we hold into the ball.

Pearce was brilliant but not if Ryles, Myles and FPN didn't keep going forward all night. Guerra was good off the bench too
