Hey Boogie am I right in saying that you made a similar comment when we first signed Gordon? I seem to remember that. I could be wrong though and you made that comment about someone else.

In my opinion Gordon has been our best and most consistent player this year. More consistent than both halves. And in regards to his goal kicking, all footballers go through slumps. What you are seeing now is the norm.

yes i didnt like his signing hes played well and good on him but another year for a mid 30s depth winger doesnt get me excited im not bagging the guy out because he does his best but its hardly a re-signing that will get me excited about next year and with regards to goal kicking just a friendly rebuttal to mr smith regarding last year

We have to work within the salary cap and after signing a genuine superstar in Tedesco I think re-signing Gordon at great value as a winger is great business.

We can't get stars in every position.

As much as SBW was the big name star that led us to the title in 2013, it was the low ball value buys in Moa and LOD that filled out the roster and gave us a great team.

If Teddy is our new SBW star signing then the likes of Gordon and perhaps Lillyman can play the part of the reliable veterans just nicely.

He has stated previously, unfortunately can't remember which site, that he is still playing because he still enjoys playing the game. Money is not his motivational factor, as he stated that rugby league has been good to him financially, setting him up for life after football.

Going by this, I'd say it won't break the bank to keep him on our payroll.

Excellent signing...we know that he does his best AND usually works well. We need the best players at the back but also good leaders with experience. We might think we have good players at the back, but next season will be even better.

              Fabulous news for mine.

Fergo can go jump and we can give Flash the right wing spot. Would help Manu no end, and keeps the goal kicking good while we sort that option out for 2019.
Great long-term vision there... punt a kangaroo winger for a guy who is gonna retire at the end of 2018. Surely we have a better plan?

Riiiiiight...Long term vision with Fergo is waiting for the next stuff up. At least SKD had the runs on the board. I don't dislike Fergo but Gordon seems better in defence AND...we need a kicker. Who cares that Fergo plays for Australia. I don't think that Fergo delivered what was expected from him when he was signed. He does OK but Gordon does better and...there probably is another winger for the future being 'groomed' or in the mix for signing next year.

Its called value for money man plus the fact he can kick goals.

I dont think Fergo will stay with us for winger money when he will get centre money with an also ran club elsewhere.

At least he won't come in off his wing and let in multiple tries per game.

This must be the most frustrating aspect of rugby league.

Wingers are dead set hopeless when it comes to staying on their man. On almost every occasion the centre has the inside man covered yet they still come in.

it's like luring a cat to a pilchard. They just can't resist.

I think having Flash on the right flank could do wonders for Manu's development. I think it's a great move.

2019... who is our winger and who will be kicking goals?

I think it's fair to say he has proved you very very wrong with your initial thoughts. The guy has been outstanding. Ppl talk about lack of speed, lack of height...... What ppl don't take into account is his football IQ. He's never been the quickest, but has carved out a great career because he is so professional and smart. His team mates love him.
So I reckon he deserves the benefit of the doubt. I think it's an outstanding signing.

Tedesco is injury prone (head knocks) so this is a great insurance policy.
He will also be a solid winger outside Mitchell or Manu.

I don't even know who will be CEO let alone winger & kicker in 2019. How about who will be kicking goals next year? I think you're getting too far ahead of yourself.
