  • Luke Lewis contract offer

if you believe the mole we have offered Lewis a 2yr deal.

depending on $$$ involved I wouldn't be against this move, he would be a significant upgrade over what Guerra has been producing.

apparently he wants to stay at the Sharks but at this point they won't budge from their 1yr offer.

Aubo could then be the bench utility.

Lewis is the type of hard nosed pro we need in the forwards. One of my all time favourite non Roosters; and although not the prop we need he'd be a great signing.

The club clearly sees the need for experienced forwards and is looking to address this.

      Good move.
Lewis is clearly a type of player we lack. A hard nosed experienced campaigner who turns in a blue chip performance each week and stiffen our edge opposite Cordner. His synergy with the Flash should he sign on to another season will be fantastic.Just then need a couple of no frills hard props and we will be thereabouts next year.

I don't know where the money would come from.

          I don't see it happening.

I really like Lewis, but i don't think this is a smart move and i don't believe it will happen.

            As i've stated before -

*He is 1000 years old and injury prone
*We have a shed load of very good second rowers already - TKO, Cordner, Aubo, Matt's on, Butcher.
*You should never have too much cap tied up in the second row - Cordner in particular is expensive.
*What we really need are 2 more strong props

I heard the other day he is all but re signed with Sharks. I'm like you tho. I'd love to have this guy at our Club. Two years is nothing for Lewis. He is like a fine wine.

I think it will come down to his media career. If Fox give him a nice contract from next year he will probably take Cronullas 1yr. He actually makes a lot of sense on TV. He goes very well.

None of those second rowers have anywhere near the toughness of Lewis. (Besides Cordner). Only Cordner & Maubs are anywhere near as good at running lines.

I don't think he is injury prone and with Lewis I think he is proving to everyone that age does not matter. Not with him anyway.
I know he has has some injuries but he has had a good run of late. And he knows how to play with injury

I just don't think we will get him.

Exactly. The opportunity to make money after football will win - the FOX contract. I have a theory that Ennis didn't re-sign for this exact same scenario, the lure of the new League channel and all the slots to fill. Had he put this gig off for another year there'd be someone else doing what he's doing now, then Cronk moving in, and Ennis would be selling pies at Shark Park.

Ennis is brilliant on the Fox shows. And so it Lewis.

In with the new and out with the dinosaurs like Blocker and Tallis thanks.

I'd love that. Just to see social media blow up with salary cap cheats etc! I love it.
