  • The rise of the celebrity Journo

we have seen a transition from print media to digital media on fox sports.
rupert is banking on the celebrity currency of 2017 to give his journos more credibility.

    it started with Kent
    then Rothfield
    now Hooper

Christ help me.......they were crook enough on the paper where I could ignore them.
now they are in my mind for all the wrong reasons.

    its awful.
Have any of them besides Kent played any rugby league at all?besides under 6's?

btw watch the filth come on tonight from the qld forwards.
    niggle dirt sledge punch
they will go after Fifita mentally

    wont help them.
    nsw to win easy

    barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

The death of traditional media and rise of social networks and online content seems to have given those who still write in newspapers instant credibility for absolutely no reason other than the internet is full of crap and trolls.

You don't have to look any further than here, the contrast in response to a Phil Rothfield rumour 5 years ago compared to one today is staggering.

The quantity of content has increased ten fold but you've got to look hard for quality content and you certainly won't find much of it in the mainstream media.

Don't forget they bit the hand that feeds them. As soon as the journalists starting writing about the social escapades of the sports stars a lot changed
The Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid
