Probably gone a little under the radar over the past few weeks but there has been a noticeable focus shift in our game towards defence over the past month.

Since the Brisbane game back at the start of April where we got 32 points put on us we haven't conceded more than 2 tries in a game and we now rank 2nd in the comp for points conceded. Only the Sharks are better.

Might be reading between the lines too much R6, but are you thinking that Robbo and Fitzy can play on that mantra while JT takes the pressure off them in other areas?

I get the feeling that Friend is happy to see him back.

If we can keep the defence up, will be top 4 for sure

We have the best first half defence in the comp as well

Which was down to our dominance in attack and exceptionally high completion rate in the 1st half

So when we dont get penalties you along with many others say not getting penalties was not the reason we lost or the game was as tight as it was aka against Warriors and even Newcastle. But when we do get penalties you and others are the 1st in saying how it made a difference and helped us.

funny how the people who complain penalties are the only reason we lose are not saying the only reason we won was a 6-2 unfair penalty count why weren't we penalised for the same things parramatta were penalised for

our teams d has been pretty good and dedicated this year except one poor game in brisbane and yesterday they defended well particularly when a dropped ball in our own half gave parramatta a couple of sets of 6 on our own line latrell mitchell stopped an attack rushing out of the line when we were stretched on the left and manu rushed out of his life causing an error which I believe may have lead to that early try

No. I actually say the refs don't cost us the game. Penalties certainly do. Ill-discipline is very costly. But I don't wear a tin hat and believe that everyone is out to get the roosters secretly. We're our own worst enemy sometimes. And I agree with your post in that no one seemed to mention the penalty count.

Am I to believe that every time we lose the count the ref should be sacked and every time we win it they did a good job? It's ridiculous.

I mentioned it. It was a pleasure to see the other side being refereed properly.
