Sort of...but possession of less than half a gram of cocaine by a much-loved first offender should not result in his being in her situation.
    One would hope.

Roosters star Shaun Kenny-Dowall offers to take a hair follicle test to prove he doesn’t do drugs EXCLUSIVE — Phil Rothfield, Sports Editor at Large, The Daily Telegraph

ROOSTERS star Shaun Kenny-Dowall has denied using cocaine in a confidential letter from his lawyers to the NRL integrity unit this morning.

As he fights to save his decade-long career and a new contract with the Newcastle Knights, the 29-year-old winger/centre has offered to take a hair follicle test which can trace cocaine use in the previous 90 days.
High profile lawyer Chris Murphy is acting for Kenny-Dowall.

      If negative test...innocent.
Then would come the question..."who put the drugs in his pocket"?

      • You only have drugs to either take them or sell them, sometimes both.

So if SKD says he wasn't taking any then wtf was he doing with them.

I remember in his court case some of the texts between him and his ex-girlfriend where him scolding her because she was snorting coke. ****s me what's happened in that time.

          Someone set him up?
He was given the drugs as a free sample?
He bought the drugs to appear cool, with no intention of using them, having been partying with other football players in a club. Trying to "impress the ladies"?

Kenny-Dowall was arrested at the Ivy nightclub last week where he was partying with other football players.
“My client invites the NRL to arrange any test immediately they desire to establish the state of any drugs that may be in an illegal drug user’s system.

          • As much as I love skd it's irrelevant whether he took it or not. I'm talking in the bigger picture. Ok, we are happy you didn't take it.......but maybe you didn't get a chance to get home where you intended on taking it.
The fact he had it on him tells enough of a picture. And pls, no one start the, "maybe it was planted on him" conspiracies,

No, if negative test, he hasn't taken in the last 90 days, which goes back to ... pre-season. That's all it means. And he got caught with it on his first week off since pre-season. Co-incidence? Maybe. Maybe not.

I doubt he's a habitual user. The offer of taking the test indicates that. But I've seen & heard nothing that indicates he denies it was his, just that he didn't take any. The cops were called to search him because he was seen with in his hand. Did you think Russell Crowe slipped it in his pocket and then called the cops?

                • Once SKD's defence explains to the judge that there were mitigating circumstances which are that he was only trying to be cool, he will be let off.

                    • SKD stood down indefinitely. That could be the end of him as a rooster. What a shame if it is.

I think the club wants to take some action before the NRL step in. I think he will end up getting 4-8 weeks.

Why indefinite and not two weeks like the others?

The two weeks the Storm is handing down is a joke.

With the so called history of this club having a party culture I think the hierachy has had enough man.

                                Indeed.

The Bromwich-Proctor incident was great timing for SKD.

I look forward to the NRLs double standards.

Surely they come over the top of the Storm and dish out more than two weeks.
