Trouble is...all the drug mules "have the same story"...so unless she can produce the said stranger, she's basically stuffed...same as Schapelle was.
IMO she should try for a plea deal...plead guilty, throw herself on the mercy of the court, have her lawyer state her age and that 'she's a mere girl', and hope for 4 years instead of 24...20 years can make a big difference when you're banged up in a horrid prison.
It's no good her pleading not guilty, as the drugs were in her bag...and she put the packages in her bag [without looking in them].
Drugs in your bag...you're guilty...end of story.
Oh why didn't she stay home in Australia.
IMO the other issue is that club doctors likely advise on how to be 'safe'. I went to uni with a heap of elite athletes. All the ironmen knew the rules (and had been told by their doctors/coaches)... no bongs a month before competition... other stuff is sweet after about 48 hours. Rather than simply not using stuff, they'd always try to work around the rules.

He had his chance last year, got off and should of pulled his head in.
If you want to go to thee Ivy, expect a little poison.
I also believe this could be a one-off...it is possible.
Anyway, the drugs were in his pocket, so that's it....[Greenberg is on the warpath threatening stiff penalties.]
...unless he was set up, and can produce the culprit.
Now, about the former drug offenders currently playing in the NRL.
SKD can point to them.
His career might not be over yet.

Our girl in Colombia ...
Bogota police have not tried to identify the man Cassie Sainsbury says tricked her into trying to smuggle 5.8kg of cocaine, ignoring the only clue she has offered in her defence.
CCTV footage of the man, known only as Angelo, is currently on a hard drive in the managers office of the downtown hotel where Sainsbury stayed from April 3 to April 11.
The well-dressed, dark-skinned man who appeared to be a local was Sainsburys only visitor, and was captured on film at least once approaching reception and asking to see her.
If SKD is innocent, you'd hope the police here investigate every lead.

Illegal drugs are illegal for a reason.
Watching "Untold stories of the ER" [America] the other day I saw 6 young people from a dance club admitted one after the other with symptoms of "only just breathing...unconscious".
One brought his mate in, in that state...then later went down with the same symptoms in the ER himself. Alcohol delays the reaction.
Hospital contacted the cops, a cop arrived..."GHB" he said..."that dance club is notorious for it".
The 6 slowly recovered, having been treated with not a lot..."No treatment much is available for GHB overdose...in small amounts gives euphoria, in larger amounts can easily kill".
Female nurse assisting the doctor said she thought none of the 6 would survive.
"Young people" ...no idea [well many of them anyway].Last edited by bondi-boy; 05-08-2017, 08:39 AM.

Smacks of their being 'nasty' to one of our young women.
Not very nice for a country that professes to be civilised.
His photo is available on the hotel manager's hard drive.
Innocent or guilty, her only chance of having some sort of future life is to plead guilty, try for a plea deal and beg for mercy...Last edited by bondi-boy; 05-07-2017, 10:50 PM.

Imagine being SKD or the girl in Colombia, and waking up every morning now and realising that the normal life you had recently is now a mess.
Imagine waking up in that Colombian prison thinking you were in your own bed and home in Adelaide and finding out where you really are.
No wonder she's reportedly crying 24/7,won't leave her cell...and is going 'mental'.

I think she did not put the drugs in her bag.
Drugs were in her bag, so she was guilty.
She was just lucky that she was in Indonesia, and that Yudhoyono, a good friend of Australia, was President during her arrest, trial, incarceration.
In Singapore she would've been long-drop hanged decapitated...mandatory...same as Aussie Nguyen was.
