Yeah right, although not all drugs affect people the same way and what works for one may not for another there are always other options. But to uniformly say that those meds do nothing is completely wrong and sound like the view of some of the patients I have looked after in my many shift's at Various Mental Health facilities. The drugs aren't a magic pill that takes all their problems away but rather help's them cope allowing them to sort through their issues.

Still, SKD has only himself to blame unfortunately for putting himself in a position to be caught. As I said before he wouldn't be the only player out there doing this sort of stuff but he, like the others, would be well aware of the risks and should know better.
The players know they come under a brighter spotlight whilst playing for us, it's not right but it's the reality of being a Roosters player. He was around when Carney was playing for us and the media circus that followed him around on a daily basis.

I don't understand your post. You acknowledge that he did the wrong thing but you wish we could sweep it under the rug? Why?

The way you lot carry on you'd think he was set up by the nrl or some referee or that he is somehow a victim here. Hang on, he plays football for a living. Something many of us could only dream of. He's paid a hundreds of thousands of dollars to live in Bondi. He went through a tough time.. Big deal. He's out partying in Sydney on drugs trying to get a root and yet again we are in the papers. If you think he's a victim come work a day with me with kids in custody and I'll show you who we need to empathise with. Not glorified footballers taking the piss.

the minimal amount he had was obviously persoinal posession, so i doubt any goal time maybe even a section 10 recorded if he agrees to follow up conditions and in consideration of his previous high stress situation? but unlike brisbane roosters do not sweep under the table so expect hell be cut loose from the club without a contract anywhere, a sad way to see an international player end up, he probably went through o lot of his money during the ex gf stitch up so was relying on one more contract? now he cant even go the uk if found guilty?hence section 10?

Court wise he will be ok.Footy wise ? The club can give him support ...deserves that for all the years of service but I am sure his time is up and England is the way to go.

                It's pretty simple really.

                1. Don't take performance enhancing drugs.
                2. Don't take recreational drugs.
                3. Don't drink drive.
                4. Don't bet on footy.
                5. Don't bash your mrs.

                How ****ing hard is it?

You have clearly misunderstood my post.
I made it very clear that SKD has only himself to blame. I made it very clear that every player in the NRL should be well aware of the risks and it is completely stupid for a player to ignore these risks and end up getting caught.

I do not want it swept under the rug at all. What I am saying is other clubs for one reason or another regularly have the indiscretions of their players swept under the rug and this is not acceptable. I was responding to a post from RWB on this aspect. She was referring to how prevalent this problem is in the NRL yet only a very minute percentage of players are actually publicly outed for it. I believe more should be. This is not an SKD problem it is an NRL and societal problem and It should be out there.

Oh and our club would not be squeaky clean on this either. We are one of the 16 clubs which make up the NRL aftwrall.

You just did it again. The fact that other clubs may hide their indiscretions has zero to do with what skd has done or why he is in the papers. Who cares what other clubs get away with. I'd rather our players got away with nothing. And it most definitely is an skd problem. Surprisingly, more players don't **** up then do.

I beg to differ. You are deliberately misreading what I am saying. i never said SKD should not be outed because other clubs don't out their players. I said ALL players should be outed and no clubs should sweep this under the carpet. What other clubs do has nothing to do with how SKD should be treated. He should know better and he should be suspended. IMO all clubs should do the same with their players too but if they don't, it should have no bearing on SKD's case. He should still be suspended regardless.

And don't tell me I'm doing it again. Suspend the whole damn lot of them. Is that good enough?

Ok SKD got busted all that aside his welfare is important as this could well and truly push him off the edge especially taking into consideration how he was during his court case and being portrayed guilty in the media by a deceased journo and a ex premier.

Would your thoughts on this be a bit different if he was a Queenslander?
