there goes his nrl career sad end but no sympathy also unfortunate this has been rife in the game for 20 years the likes of bird walker and allegedly skd just the tip of the iceberg
I feel for the dude. Put through hell last year by a putrid dog and it seems he has never recovered. I really do hope he gets his life sorted as everyone only has positive things to say about him.
Cocaine is a huge problem in society, the amount of NRL players that openly use it is mind boggling, but they are happy to role the dice as its out of your system so quickly. I work in a job where we get drug tested randomly and its still rife in my department.
Get well SKD
I also feel for Newcastle. I have no doubt we were gonna move him on. They just can't take a trick.
That opens it up for Latrell.
Are you kidding? This is great news for Newy.
We'll sack him, and they'll pick him up in a month on the cheap as no other club will bother with him. The NRL (being owners of the knights) will rubber stamp him playing again this year for them for sure
Very sad if proven.
Not excusable, but understandable considering the pressure he's been under over the last year or so.
Hang in there, Shaun. Be honest and up front and there is definitely a way out of this.
im very sorry to say it but bye bye skid, if your going to0 get on the marching powder why not at home instead, why a mega nightclub full of cruising cops looking for a bust? dumb! ok right now its alleged, but soon hell be playing for a pub side in new zealand? who was he with?
Not defending his decision or the choice by the Chooks to boot him..... But, assuming it is a first offense, and he has been only charge with possession (not trafficking), under NSW law I would expect he will get away with a fine under $1K (IMNAL).
Like it or not recreational drug use is pretty standard among young blokes these days, and the fines show societies attitude to it. ie. Discouraged, but hardly criminal.
Unfortunately the appalling attitude of the NRL when responding to public outrage will kick him even harder while he is down.

I saw Reynolds crying in front of me after the game and yelled out 'WHAT ARE YOU CRYING ABOUT?!?!? GO SAY SORRY TO COOPER YOU GRUB!!!' He looked up at me with a pretty broken looking face.

this isn't something that's happened as a response to the court case
