    Done some additional stats

In 4 out of 9 games (44.44%), the Roosters have received 2 penalties or less. In 2017 as a whole, a team has only conceded 2 penalties or less 6 times, 4 of them against the Roosters obviously.

The Tigers are the only team who have conceded 2 penalties or less twice (and the only team on the list that haven't played the Roosters).

Another thing worth noting about our two penalties vs the Warriors:

They were both in their 20.

So not one penalty out of our own end. What a joke.

I reckon they had a skinny 10 all game too, gonna have to amass a fair dinkum side to get over these thieves, tedesco is a good start I guess

To anyone with at least half a brain these and other stats are damning.

To 9/10 RL fans (including many on here) they are incomprehensible and meaningless. Besides, everyone knows the roosters deliberately give away penalties because they're too unfit to get onside legally.

I'm telling you Archer, Cummins and Klein and co are laughing their heads off knowing this stuff (our lack of penalties received and resultant stifling of our attack) can continue unchecked.

If you express our 4 games and the Tigers games as a percentage of all games, you may find this looks even worse. I'd like to see all the games 2017 penalty stats and have a play with a pivot table in Excel...... Would be interesting charts I bet.

Too lazy to do the data entry though.

A picture speaks a thousand words etc.

              Penalties aren't everything.

The Roosters were gifted a win against Penrith with a try from a blatant forward pass and gifted a win against St George with a stream of late dodgy penalties and a fair try disallowed to Saints when the ball was called knocked on into Ferguson's big head.

So there's two wins you've been gifted this season by the refs. You get a lot of these dodgy calls go your way.

this is the problem because fans feel getting penalties is an entitlement suddenly we are required a certain amount per game but also a certain amount to get out of our own half what a joke we've won 6 games this year and people piss on about refs bloody hell

Of course it's not an entitlement but when other clubs get about 6 a game out of their own half and we have often got between 0-2 this year does that not seem a little odd to you?

For all their faults, Toops and SKD punch plenty of holes in the opposition D coming out of our own half. But apparently not enough to basically ever receive a penalty.

We're the only club in the comp this year thats received under 5 penalties a game.

                  Gee, who saw that coming.

Haha, you obviously didn't see the fox sports package showing 3 absolute shockers going in favour of the dragons and that was only up until halftime.

There were quite a few dodgy calls against us in the Dragons game.

Matt Moylan's miracle pass in that game was forward too man.

                        Great work Waerea-Beast.
Rothfield was onto this sort of thing a while ago on our behalf. If someone knows how this info could be sent to him that would be great.

Are you taking the piss with the Dragons comment? The disallowed try was spot on and you're conveniently ignoring the 5 or 6 howlers that went the Dragons way.

Voss was trying that crap about teams giving away penalties when confronted about the penalty count on the weekend. It's garbage. It also doesn't explain not getting penalties, which is where we have been focusing.
