Latrell Mitchell’s manager has slammed reports that the star utility back wants out of his contract with the Roosters.
But Steve Deacon did admit that rival clubs are interested in Mitchell following a series of rumours that the talented youngster is offside with Roosters management.
There have even been reports that the Roosters have been shopping Mitchell around to other clubs.
Mitchell was not selected in the Roosters’ last two games, fuelling the rumours that there is a problem with his relationship with the club.
Roosters coach Trent Robinson did name the classy utility in the centres last night for this Sunday’s clash with the Eels, however, in a sign that tensions between the two parties have eased.
"I have been inundated with calls from people and other clubs telling me Latrell is going to leave the club," Deacon says.
"It couldn’t be further from the truth - he got dropped but instead of kicking stones, Latrell has been doing extras and working hard.
"Trent offered to rest him one week and he preferred to play reserve grade than take a break - that shows his attitude.
"He loves the Roosters and is determined to hold his place in the team."
Mitchell had an outstanding rookie season for the Roosters last year, playing every game in a difficult season for the club and looking the goods.
There has been a bit of the 'second year syndrome' this year but there is no doubting his class and ability.

Yesterday for the Roos he had 4 or 5 efforts during the whole game. He scored 2trys and saved another at the death.
His strength and talent is crazy, it's between the ears where he is going to struggle. He referred to that grade as "backyard footy"
Hoping someone at the Roostets can sort him.
His "between the ears" just needs more time.
That grade could be seen by some as "'backyard/park footy"...as it's far different from NRL
Big leap from 20s to FG.
I'd rather see reserve grade on match day than of the 20s.
Our 18 to 25 contracted players on display.
