I agree with parkway_drive it would be fine for manu to play on the wing with an experienced centre and latrell mitchell to partner daniel tupou the problem with releasing james maloney and then jackson hastings is that we are scrambling for consistency with goal kicking and with the aforementioned backline we will be needing a goal kicking forward with cordner in one position taken and props and friend not kicking we would be requiring either taukeiaho to kick or to find a goal kicking second rower

What's a top line centre worth?
If talk is true about us letting go of Gordon, SKD, Fergo, Guerra, Evans plus Copley and an increase in salary cap, why can't we afford a quality centre and possibly a decent front rower?

We re-signed Guerra for a criminal fee (all whilst RTS was still unsigned - I'm still getting counselling over this).
Then you also have Evans who wasn't bargain price, Fergo on big coin, SKD and also Copley off the books.
That's 5 players on, at a guess, 1.8m. If Teddy is on 1m and you also replace the other 4 with base price players that leaves about 300k. Add in a big cap increase and the money is there.
Obvioisly there's a lot of guess work there and we've also upgraded the likes of Napa and Pearce but I think we have just enough if we can convince someone like Gagai to take less and play for a Premiership contender rather than a spoon contender.
