  • Here's a Shocker

After 6 rounds not one Rooster player made the top 15 missed tackles list .Maloney came in at first as usual with 41.Sezer came in 15th with 21
So what does that say...most will say they will catch up ...Keary , Pearce ,Fegolicious ...or just a bit of Ironing out required .
    Go Chooks.

Just means all our missed tackles are shared fairly evenly well around the team.

I refuse to put the likes of Cordner, Friend and Napa in the same missed tackle category as Keary, Teflon( best defensive half in the comp) and the other backs, if we based it on % of tackles attempted to tackles made the forwards would be minute

Considering how many players run at Pearce and keary, they aren't too bad, but when fergo has only made 37 tackles and missed 11 and SKD 15 TACKLES!! And missed 5 is terrible.

They aren't considered a miss if you don't lay a hand on the opposition player, otherwise Fergo would be double.

As usual the stats only tell half the story. There's a difference between a missed tackle that leads to a line break or a missed tackle on the try line versus a missed tackle where a forward runs at Pearce or keary and they put their body in front of them which halts all momentum, yet they bounce off and the person standing next to the half completes the tackle. One has nil consequences for the defending team. The other gives up field position or points. They both count as one missed tackle.

interesting Stats particularly for the consistently understated M. Aubusson
