  • Guerra after the game

Did anyone else notice Guerra after the game when approaching fans near bay 13 and 14. He was hi fiving all n sundry wooping it up and a smile from cheek to cheek for all to see. Showed a lot more energy in his post loss celebration than out on the field for the past 2 seasons.

I wonder if he greets Robbo with a hi five after a loss? lol

      Funny that!
He is usually too buggered to do anything on the field.
I really hope he pisses off after this season.

Seen. Hang your head son, yet he's out there acting like he won MOTM. Even this morning i'm still flat and this big arse is posing and carrying on minutes after his fatal error. Beggars belief !!!!

Yeah. He should greet the fans with a black hood over his head, dragging a ball and chain and self-flagellating...

The match stats indicate that he made 13 runs for 131 metres (behind only Cordner 13 for 146 and JWH 13 for 138 in the forwards). He made 33 tackles (behind only Jake at 57, Aubo at 41 and Cordner at 36). He missed only 1 tackle (the least of the forwards).

He made 1 error - a monumental, game-changing clanger, to be sure, but no worse than any of Toops' (one of which also led to a crucial try).

He's boring and hasn't passed the ball for at least two years, but he's a worker and did play OK last night. I don't think we'll be hanging on to him after this year, but he's not currently the waste of space that you suggest.

Granted it was probably his best game for at least 50 games so you have a bit of a point.
Re His tackling if you call about 15-18 of his tackles either 3rd man in flops or inneffective cuddling before help arrives tackles? Well good on you and the stats man.
I for one am not suggesting he mopes around but he goes way over the top like he has won a gf when he greets fans, just be normal or is that his normal 'high energy'self?
If so I would love to see more of it on the footy park.

He has been much better since going into the middle this season.

But that dropped ball was a shocker at a critical time. As much as anything else it cost us the game. Not good enough.

Not good enough from a senior player.

Latrell Mitchell made 2 crucial errors in the last 10, one was a knock on and the other a poor read in defence.

Mitchell needs to learn from his mistakes and it was evident post game that he took blame for the loss.

Mitchell's reaction fills me optimism, kids are always going to make mistakes it's the best way to learn.

Guerra fills me with frustration and anger. It seems he will never learn.

Sorry Parkway but imagine the uproar if he dissed the fans. Whether he meant to be happy or not, he has to do it.

Whilst his 13 runs for 131 metres looks impressive and I will admit his running was effective on occasions, it is negated by his terribly slow play the balls. Not what you want in the middle third, especially when Isaac Liu also seems to have concrete in his boots atm. Compared to Cordner who takes every hit up like it will be his last, it really shows him up. His celebrations after the game were ludicrous. He was jumping up and down in the air with a big smile and at one stage broke out into a star jump whilst giving someone in the distance the thumbs up. 4 minutes after his game changing clanger, it was like he went Tim Simona on the result. It was quite clear the result meant nothing at all to him.
                    ...

Carter would do Guerra's job far more effectively, his contact in defence is disgraceful. The first Manly try doesn't happen if Carter is the man tackling Trbojevic's upper body, Guerra doesn't even attempt to pin the ball or arm in a three man tackle, the offload is EASILY prevented by a defender that actually CARES in that situation. Manly had multiple offloads with three tacklers, Carter is the kind of tenacious ball magnet that would help clean this up.

Guerra needs a stint in reggies.

A friend (distant) who supports Souths told me that Carter is good for giving a few penalties away per game. First thing he did when he played last week was give away a penalty 😂. Mind you he tried hard until he ran out of puff.

Not a saviour by any stretch. But a better option than Guerra. I like Carter. He's not a world beater but he gives 100%. That's all I ask from anyone in the rwb.

That offload might not have happened if Jared had stayed on that side rather than going around to tackle the legs leaving a hole
