Next Aubbo, SKD is my favourite Rooster. Hence my board tag "Flipper Hands". The effort he put in is undeniable, even last year, and I'll forgive him almost anything based on that. (caveat: not "the pass" in 2015)

Tupo appears motivated by a contract re-signing. I think he is lazy, and I wouldn't be competing (overs) with any club to keep him.

My memory of 2016 was that Tupou had a year of two halves. He was terrible in the first half of the season, largely due to very poor handling and being dominated in the tackles. I know the whole team was going terrible at that time but Tupou was especially terrible and the last thing a struggling team wants is a useless winger making unforced errors. The criticisms were highly warranted in my books.

However, Tupou had a pretty good second half 2016 which has now built into a really good 9's tournament and first 4 games of 2017. Praise is now warranted.

I never had an issue with Toops and supported him on numerous occasions last year when people were saying he was lazy and lacked interest.
He always looks the same, doesn't matter if he is scoring a try or missing a tackle he has the same expression. This can be misconstrued which it was last year.
He adds something different, if we can't go through them then we go over them like in the Grand final.
He has had a great start to the year but the entire team is going well.

          Sums it up perfectly.

When he had Michael Jennings inside of him he was one of the best & now that he has a champion like Latrell inside of him he is one of the best again.

i think the use of the Jamaican Olympic sprint coaches training pre season had a lot to do with 2poo and a few others

This year he is showing what he truly can do, and I think a large portion of that is playing outside latrell.
If he has a poor game, I wonder if some will call for his head?

Depends on how many poor games.. Like everyone we cop the criticism for poor performances and the accolades for good ones. No one is above that.

I think Toups has deserved his fair share of the criticism he has received but the fact that he has turned it around is a credit to him. He seems like such a quiet and humble guy which can sometimes seem like he doesn't care. I think its really just his personality. Toups and Latrell are going to terrorize a lot of teams in 2017.

By the sound of things, it will only take one.

Yes he is a confidence player. If he has a crappy start to a game he rarely turns things around.

He was also a victim of last year's disgraceful refereeing where wingers couldn't get a clear run at the bomb . Constantly being run off the ball. He just couldn't get into the game. Maybe he is also running lower, rather than upright where he is easier to get underneath and drive back.

I'd like to see him take the line on more in attack. I remember him scoring a great try a few years back, IRC against the Knights, where he just put his head down and charged through about 4 blokes from 20 out. Watching his carries coming out of our end, I'm convinced he could run a few more times rather than try the kick when the defence gets to him. He has a good fend and the ability to make good metres after contact. He should back himself inside the attacking 20.

Tupou deserved everything he copped in 2016. He was one of the worst players in the NRL.

He has turned things around dramatically and is now one of the form players in the NRL

Good on him for turning it around.

Tupou has some really good game awareness and skills, people talk about his attacking combo with Latrell but the most impressive thing about their combination so far in my opinnion is that any time Latrell has run himself in to trouble and looks like going over the sideline he pulls off some miraculous play with Toops and a lot of it has to do with where Toops positions himself and level of skill he has to execute on those plays.

It's just something little I have really appreciated about him this year. Covered up a lot of Latrell's inexperience.

Playing better than 2013 he is a weapon at the moment.
