Dead set, this forum always disses experienced players and beefs up youngsters who aren't quite ready. I respect the passion, but don't get how people can be so serious about it.
Just like saying JTS > Toops... it's simply not true. More exciting and more potential? Maybe. However, we simply can't afford to have two inexperienced, 19 y/o centres.
What's the other example? I remember people were calling for Hasting to start ahead of Pearce when he was like 17/18, and craaazy stuff like that. Excitement taking home the 2 points.
manu will get the gig. he is named every week in the 19. or if you do a full shuffle, like 6 said. maubs to centre, matto to 2nd row, guerra lock and teta to the 17 spot.
True, why name someone on an extended bench each week only to have someone else (Copley) come in over the top. so for this reason i say Manu gets the gig. Not to mention he deserves it.
Copley is a specialist left sided player - either at centre or on the wing. Throwing him at right centre would be the equivalent of shifting SKD from right wing to left centre, it throws your bearings off and forces you to play in a unfamiliar combination with those around you.
Having said that, we know by now that Robbo is not one to take risks, and may look at Copley as someone with experience he can rely on. However if that was the case then I would much prefer to see mr reliable mitch Aubusson shifted into the centres, where he has filled in admirably before.
I also wouldn't mind seeing Joey Manu get a run, as he is a specialist right sided playing see as he played a large chunk of his 20's career at right centre.
Hmmm...there should be available to fans a list of players and their specialist playing positions...left or right side in particular.
Then we could make more-informed decisions/opinions about the team and replacements.
I like your thinking re Carter. Imagine he and Tetabomba lock in tandem?
How about Manu into centre he plays on the right at Wyong and before. He also made a decent go of it last year when selected in firsts and is 18th or 19th man anyway.
Aubbo stays where he is. Carter in for Guerra. I know this wont happen but would love to see it. Plus Guerra gets that overdue rocket up his arse.
Having said this it depends on Liu's fitness and where Robbo wants to slot Matto in. We are truly blessed in the player depth department this year.
"There's a lot of people competing for title of dumbest chookpen member such as Tommy S, Rusty, Johnny, ROC, Tobin but without a doubt you are the worst, youre thick as a brick christ this is the dumbest thing I've read in a long time you should go back to supporting the panthers"

Manu played right centre for Wyong on Saturday but got caught flat footed in defence on a couple of occasions. Not ready for grade just yet.

Shame, he's such a big fast unit. I guess these attributes aren't of value if your defense is not up to scratch. We have a young left side (toops lats) that could go round for a while compared to an aging right side (how old is fergo?) Manu hopefully will go there eventually but will he wait for fergo/skd to retire?
Perhaps we will wet his whistle in 1sts if fergo is picker for the blues.
Iam sick of seeing people saying use SKD, he alone has cost the club any number of wins, after 0ver 200 games he is still as raw as a rookie, he will never learn, for F___sake just move him on.

Very well said. Manu needs to star in NSW Cup before being considered for first grade. He certainly didn't star yesterday.
JTS will never play first grade at Roosters. He is not that good at all. Everyone just has expectations and rates him because of the name (just like they did Hastings). He ain't his brother.
Robbo will see who plays at #2 for Penrith and choose accordingly. If Mansour is back, then I'm thinking 4 Maubbs and 5 SKD. Not sure who this Dean Whare is who is at #2 today. Haven't payed attention but they are whooping the Tigers today.
