If you don't get the ball to him, he comes looking for it,

Gonna be hard for coaches to defend against this attack from both sides of the ruck,

Glad I wasn't one of those who death rided him pre season....

Settle down JT. That's a huge call.

Actually i was thinking last night the Dogs should just give the ball to Morris (either one).

Dodged a bullet missing out on Coote,Keary by far the better option at 6!

For sure. Coote isn't half the 5/8 that Keary is.

We've always been at our best with a running 5/8 - Fittler, Carney, Maloney and now Keary.

It probably applies to everyone really. Morgan, Milford, Austin etc.

Big call as I reckon Jimmy is miles ahead of Carney.

Yep. He sure likes to get involved. How good is it seeing him run at the line as well. It really puts the opposition in two minds.

I was waiting for that try to get pulled up. If you watch the replay from the front-on camera, Keary actually received the ball on the inside of the decoy runner and went behind him. That was getting pulled up all last year as an obstruction.

i thought that at the time as well - but the obstruction rule does my head in; don't understand it at all.

Jimmy is better cause he has discipline but Carney's talent is natural. If carney had the discipline he'd probably be as good as JT.

                        Yep.

Carney in 2010 was absolutely amazing.

He can't defend for shit just like JT, but he was an attacking force of nature that basically single handedly took us to a GF.

If he wasn't such a headcase on the piss he could have been one of the greats.

Yes Carney didn't like to get in front, I loved Jimmy's "crumple" tackle technique he used a couple of times, once against thaiday close to our line. Can't go high and get palmed off, can't go low as they'd stretch out and score, have to go over me whilst the cover defense would clean up. Jeez it musta hurt tho

I think Maloney offered more in attack and a few other areas but I think Keary is a more rounded player and will not be the most penalized player in the game unlike BBQ.

even with out the ball, vs broncos keary did some fantastic tackles around the legs against much bigger opposition chopping them down, he may be very small but has quite good technique
