    Lol indeed.

My 6yr old niece has better power in her kicking leg than Jackson Hastings.

Pearce has the best long kicking game in the comp and it can turn matches. The absence of such a trait last year proves as much.

Lets not forget his line break assists in the lead up to tries 2 and 3 and his pin point kick for Fergo's try. He's finished so far in the positive tonight that its not funny

The precision at which he can throw a 20m spiral pass left or right is amazing, he's had it since the day he entered grade and it's still his best asset IMO. You'd love to be a 5/8 or centre playing outside him.

The two balls to Latrell & Fergo that ultimately resulted in tries were just classic halfback play, the shame as a footy fan is there's not many halfbacks in the game who have the skill or vision to pull it off these days.

While I can understand having a bit of a whinge after a loss, having a massive cry after a close win on round 2, with some new combinations and new players goes to show that some here are professional protestors.

what about the long kick that Morris had to kick over the dead ball line, to prevent a 40-20, which led to Aubs try and the eventual victory? you people are really showing a real ugly obsession with Pearce who will probably end up being our most capped player, and will win another 2 premierships with us at the very least. I have been very critical of him early in his career, but I firmly believe he will show his best over the next 5-7 years.

It's only now that he's started this ludicrous thread that I realise that Stehr is not just a troll, but a troll who's elevated the art form to defCon3.

If he has time, he can do great things with his innate skills. He just needs to calm down and not rush everything. The one thing that Fittler always seemed to have, and Thurston has, is time to do things. Peace panics too easily and makes a bung decision.

Sure Pearce made some horrible mistakes but if you're going to single him out then you also have to single out...

                      - Guerra for his three mistakes, one of which led to a try
                      - Latrell for some dumb stuff
                      - JWH for dropping the ball
                      - SKD for his usual dropped ball which led to a try
                      - Keary for twice not being able to handle the ball on the ground
                      - Scummins for ANOTHER lopsided penalty count (couldn't help myself)

At least one of the penalties in question was pure bull***t with the Canterbury player walking off the mark. When will the referees stop players from taking a step forward or worse, forward and to the side (Melbourne are the kings of this tactic), thereby taking the markers out of play and/or entangling themselves with the tackler to earn a penalty. The whistle-blowers simply tumble in with monotonous regularity. Put that on your tip sheet Archer.

The other Pearce penalty was also questionable. The one on one strip, looked like the tackle wasn't complete as they were still wrestling, so thought he was unlucky to be penalised there.

If only Pearce could put his brain into gear sometimes and evaluate the situation. Something like "OK it's Canterbury's 5th tackle make sure you don't give a penalty away or Make sure you don't kick the bomb or kick out on the full" Everytime he made one of these blunders Canterbury scored from them and it very nearly cost us the game. I understand that every player makes mistakes but Pearce has a habit of doing them at the worst possible time and this is not a one off.

Pearce was great. Not perfect but very solid. He is essential to our team.
