Everytime Pearce makes some stupid mistake it's nearly always the opposition's fifth tackle, as soon as it happens I know the opposition are going to score. Pearce is the king when it comes to inviting oppositions back into matches, he's been doing it for years.

Just his long kicking game tonight was so evidently valuable. In those opening exchanges when the Dogs were all over us he came up with some huge kicks that got us out of trouble.

Such a contrast from last year where it felt like our halves were kicking a brick at times.
