We could do worse than having him back to play, I think he would do better with one shoulder than some of our current team.
At least we don't have to worry about shoulder problems with some of the players here now because they don't tackle. :P

Can't help but think that the origin for Fitzy's chronic shoulder problem, was from carrying the team for all those years !

He's what... 34 years old? I know he's a legend, but surely injury or no injury he was about to retire anyway?

Well, tell that to Petero Civoniceva, But Petero had a decent set of forwards around him for his career, Fitzy carried the team for a long time.

                Don't stretch the truth Madduke,
for alot of Fitzys career he had a good forward pack around him, thie last couple of years not so much, but neither has Petro.
NEver the less Fitzy played many more mins than Petro

Sorry, I have the memory of a bitter old Roosters fan.

Would be an ideal 20's coach one would think. Nice grounding for him there, then slide up to become Assistant when Smith retires in a couple of years. A couple of years as an NRL assistant coach, then he can move on to Head Coach.

He was an 80 minute meter eating stat machine who kicked goals

a true pro and a legend.

No wonder he's worn out. good luck in the future

Gotta get this man back involved with the club in some capacity. Any capacity. Club legend both on and off the field.

start him out on sg ball, he would entthrall those young guys and put into place a sense of respomnnsability and the work ethic that may enaqble them to becomne champion players or more importantly champion men in their lives!

I'd have him as our high performance manager. He is the right guy for a job like that, and I want him around our first grade squad as much as possible.
