The inside information that I have is the Rupert Murdoch and his team of drunken hacks at the Astonisher will do anything they can to smear the Roosters. They do this because Politis is their enemy and because the vast majority of their malodorous, bogan readership hate the Roosters.

And by using the term "promise" you seem to be inferring that Soward coming back home would be a bad thing..
Now that defence is no longer a major weakness in his game,Jamie is starting to become the player he looked like becoming as he came through our development system..
He was smashing people last monday night..
When he left the club i admit i wasn't overly concerned, but he came back to bite us big time..
In last year's GF he played all over Carney..& his 2nd half performance in Origin 2 proved he truly belongs at the top level..
Soward only left our club because Stuart struggles with nurturing playmaker talent..
Rusty will love me saying this, but he is "the one that got away"..
So what makes you "promise" me Soward will never be back?
TODD CARNEY is desperate to go public and unleash about a false report that he wants to leave the Roosters. Carney has told friends he doesn’t know where those stories are coming from and is grateful for the way the Roosters have supported him through some difficult times this year. Carney is understood to have gone so far as to contact Roosters boss Steve Noyce to seek permission to get the truth out there, however Noyce advised him to let the matter slide
I wouldn't be too keen on returning to the club that showed no confidence in me. Stuart or no Stuart. I'd much prefer to kick their ass at every available opportunity.

I didn't think he left on bad terms though. It was pretty much "you're not going to get the opportunity in FG here, so rather than play out your contract in reserve grade, if you can get a run at another club - go for it".
I'm with Horrie on this one. When Soward left, I wasn't that fussed. He was playing with no authority and his defence was crap. Last year he started to assert himself in games and this year he has sorted out his defence.
I would still much prefer an in-form, out of trouble Carney, but whether that will ever happen is the big question atm. I hope for our sake it does, because it looks like the Roosters are still pinning their hopes on him.
Carney should worry less abou what people ar esaying about him and more about why theyre saying it: because his form sucks and his attitude says he doesnt give a sh!t
