  • Jarryd Hayne on the footy show

I have no evidence, but it was interesting to see Robbo talking to Jarryd on the footy show about spending time in the Eastern Suburbs rather then the Western Suburbs. Maybe I was reading too much into it, but I remember Jarryd agreeing and saying he preferred spending time in the Eastern Suburbs.

Now that we have lost Myles and with rumours that Mini, Carney and Braith are leaving the club, could Easts be positioning to sign him.

Obviously I know how obnoxious Robbo is, and there probably nothing in it.

It was only because they were at coogee at the team camp and ge was just saying that you don't have to worry bout locking your car here not like the western suburbs or something like that, was nothing about him wanting to come here.. I was told the other day Haynes manager has been sending tapes to NFL teams of Haynes big kicks

they will never go to the NFL.. they wouldnt make it no-matter how talented they are. The AFL signings were an exception and were purely marketing

Marketing? Ben Graham played in a Superbowl and still starts for the Cardinals. Sav Rocca and Matt McBrian both still star for the Eagles and Cowboys respectively.

Darren Bennett was more than a marketing exercise

There is zero marketing value in an NFL team signing an AFL kicker.

              sorry you probably misunderstood me

i meant the AFL signing Khunt and Folau being purely marketing reasons. In other words, players rarely ever cross codes into such different sports. Obviously there are some players but i doubt Hayne would cross

Hayne's manager sent video's to NFL teams, not AFL teams with the hopes of interest in him for a contract as a 'kicker'.

Just saying what anybody who has been to Parramatta and the Eastern Suburbs would say.

Parramatta is Dante's Ninth circle of hell brought to life.

I went there last week, this sign was on the entrance door in the portcullised wall surround the city.

I felt like Dante Alighieri (even though I'm 38) being led into hell by Virgil.

                        Nothing here move on...
NFL = Rubbish American junk... who cares about it? Hayne would need to start hitting the roids and HGH quite seriously if he wanted to have a chance. Uate wouldn't be fast enough and only a select number of AFL kickers are accurate enough to have weird specialist role. Even our biggest polynesians don't size up against the roid raged niggaz they have. Gridiron is just plain boring...

Hayne could definitely make it as a kicker.

Chris Sandow has better chances of making it as a kicker.

What do you mean accuracy ??
An NFL punt kicker don't necessarily have to be pin point accurate the aim of a punt kicker is to kick it as far as possible. The reason only some afl players get picked up is because there ball is so much harder to kick then a normal afl or even rugby league ball and there is a total different technique then the way afl players punt the ball, afl player kick mire on the point of the ball where in NFL u can't kick the ball on the point it wouldn't go anywhere coz the ball is much skinnier at the point of the ball.. And hayne has a massive boot on him so if he could get it right with an NFL ball he would definitely be looked at by NFL clubs
