The Gold Coast is going so bad they've had to drag a hasbeen out of retirement to try to salvage their season.

Benji being out has shown us that Sheens is a myth.

"That cadaverous mope" Bennett has always been protected. Newcastle will get all the calls next year.

We will continually get arseraped by the so called sports journalists from the Telerag as long as Mr. Murdoch is involved in what was once a great sport.

And he had the best team on paper for several years at Easts, never made one GF. Obviously that's our fault according to him.

My point exactly! Where are the stories that Prince wants out because he keeps getting smashed running sideways looking for runners? That he's extremely crushed and lost because the coach has brought back a 35 year old hasbeen to hold his hand in the halves? That they are going on a strategically sound recruitment drive (AKA cheque book signing spending splurge if describing similar roosters behaviour). No the Titans have been bashed a few times already this year but they are one happy little bunch, victims of an aging roster and injuries in key positions. Oh and they know where to find their dressing room! Ok enough with the sarcasm for the day!

I wouldn't say spot on, but he makes some very good points.

            Chook.

I think it's because it's a Sydney newspaper, and no-one in Sydney wants to read about the Titans

Didn't stop them bashing Smith when he was at Newcastle! And they sure did give it to Henjak at Brisbane last year too. No it's a Roosters thing and a Smith thing. Sheens is ripping the Tigers apart with his recruitment shift for next year and it's showing in their performances but that's only touched on in the Telecrap. We don't see the dramatic, over the top headlines, or predictions of Castle's Crrumbling.

Well, his position, although entitled "Football Director" is not that dissimilar to Russell Crowe at Souffs. His presence presumably is intended to create a magical aura of power and wisdom. Maybe that's why he has recently stopped dying his hair, he wants the head of white hair now to go with all that "wisdom" he has.

I wish him the same success as Rusty has enjoyed.

I don't need to read an article in the telucrap to know that there's something amiss at the Roosters. One just has to watch the team play this year to see all the evidence required. What is rotten at the Roosters goes beyond a horrendous injury toll and hints at a malaise deeper and thus far hidden from public eye and it has been this way for at least five or six years.

Actually his point about us playing directionless football and being unable to score points is quite valid. He also makes the point that while the play the ball has changed it is up to the coach to change the play style to suit, which we obviously haven't done. And we continue to use two of the best halves in the comp to crab across field looking for the inside ball.

A lot of what he says is heresay and complete bullshit, but not all.

                          Chook.

Amazing some many of you are ropeable about this.

It's nothing different from what you read on here every day.

I reckon Elliot is a rubbish appointment. He's a loser.

While there are good and bad points about that article, it really struck me as just another personal opinion without fact, just supposition and rumour. Basically a posting on an internet forum.
