The only memorable thing I've seen Klemmer do is run straight into SBW and JWH during the dying seconds of a game where the Doggies NEEDED a try to win.

Rather than run at them, he used a bizarre running style that involved kicking the air as he was running. In doing so he ran straight into JWH + SBW and not only got SMAAAASHED down to terra firma, but also he got penalised for it (handing us the game). This moment reminded me of Homer Simpson walking forward towards a donut while opening and closing his jaw, saying 'if you get eaten it's not my fault' - he then bumped his head on something and went 'DOH!'

A few months later I saw Klemmer getting selected for Australia and NSW, while being touted as 'the beast of Belmore' (with images of him being Golem from Tolkein's books). I thought yeah... he's a quirky little fellow like Golem, not some beast who is out there to make a huge impact on the games he plays. I'm yet to be convinced he is anything else.

Doesn't Klemmer make more post-contact meters than anyone else in the comp? He might be an idiot, but since when has that stopped people from being good at footy?

Yeah I wonder what game people are watching. He made 3640 metres last season in 22 games, a whopping 165 metres per game. None of our front rowers get even close to that. Dylan Napa was our best with 2820 in 23 games with JWH 1688 from 14 games. I would swap Klemmer for Evans in a heartbeat as would every rational thinking Roosters fan.

People also forget that Klemmer is only 23. Turned it last December. A relative baby for a front rower. He and Napa will be the cornerstone of the Kangaroos forward packs for many years to come. I am a fan of him, has a high workrate, good metres agressive and loves the contact. Would love for him to be at Roosters with Napa and JWH but that wont happen as he commands big bucks.

Having said that I have hopes that Collins and Knight will make the transition to first grade in the next 12 months plus we have our young brigade with Farmer Silly lol cannot spell and co to come through the ranks.

I will honestly be surprised if Evans is with us next year.

The hype for Klemmer from the marketing guys at Channel 9 was just ridiculous around that time.

That middle para is the funniest thing I have ever read in here. Actually made me laugh.

I think he looks like an overgrown Steve O.

I thought he could become the most devastating forward in the game until that origin game I referred to. Now I think he is barely above average.

Laughed my ass off when he did that air kicking thing then doubled down when he got laid out, about as funny as skd losing the ball when he made that break against manly 2014?

Klemmer or Evans? Evans is odds on to drop the ball when he makes one of those spectacular breaks.

Correct me if wrong but my recollection is 2 seasons ago, he offloaded and looked great. A challenge to tackle.

Last year he was instructed/no longer offloaded and played average at best

I like Kane Evans, he seems like a really nice guy, and I had high hopes for him.

I fear though he's looking more and more like today's version of Dancin' Dallas Hood.....
