We sure have accumulated some talented Indigenous players. We could conceivably field a team this year more than half of which have Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island heritage viz:

Mitchell
Fergo
Watson
Smith
Friend
Gordon
Lewis

This would surely be unprecedented in the 109 year history of the code. No?

Mate it's a great thing and I wish that we made a bigger point about it. Can't say that I knew about maybe 1/3 of those guys and I reckon it's something they should be proud of.

While it could be considered strange that they would name an aboriginal to play against the indigenous team,.... that concept is so floored I guess anything is possible.

The world "all star" team wouldn't even get Warren Smith excited.

I agree with this wholeheartedly, it was great to see Latrell showing so much pride in it last year, and connor had those awesome boots his dad painted for him. On another note I'd love for us to have an Indigenous round jersey this year.

I don't know if Jake makes a big thing about his heritage or even if he identifies as Aboriginal, but that's his background.

Skin colour can be confusing - young Ben Jones was a pale skinned ginger, but his mother and siblings were all very dark skinned.

I just looked through all the teams and he never has, Ben Jones was the 9 in 2010
