  • Bernard Carl Lewis.

Well someone had to start a thread on him.
How quick is this bloke ?
    More speed than Kogarah.
(apologies to james roberts, and up yours as well)

Seriously, we should lock this bloke up long term.
I dunno if he would make a great long term first grader or anything, but I like the cut of his jib.
    He's got personality.
We're gonna have dickhead clubs like the berries or bronco pty ltd throwing big money at him based on this.

He could be a try scoring machine and crowd favourite for the Roosters, or he could help put bums on seats at Wyong.
    Win either way.

Be interesting since he's on a 10K contract only - as there will be a few keeping an eye on him

The nines is a good vehicle for young blokes to get noticed. He got noticed!
You can't keep them all so good luck to him and any one else that earns some more cash from their deeds in Auckland.

He deserves a chance so lets see what the club has installed for him.

He went great but he really should. The 9s game is suited to him. As we all know tho, the 9s is so different to 13 a side. I remember someone on here writing that he couldn't defend at all. If that's the case (and I'm only going on what was written here) then I cant see him getting a run.

A reasonable pay rise now could prove a good investment later.

A couple of seasons at Wyong should tell us what we need to know.

I am hoping that might have been a misread of something I would have written about Bernie, in that I would have said he can def defend.
He will probably spend another year in the 20s and nothing but good news about him, great kid, just loves playing RL and can most definitely defend. In 2015 Bernie played quite a bit of Ron Massey Cup and more than handled it

He is the type of player that Rugby Union will go after.

His defence isn't great but what 19yo winger has first grade level defence? Hell tupou has been in the side for years and still makes terrible decisions fairly regularly

as said I have seen him play against men at 18 years old, not 20s pissants but seasoned footballers. He defends just fine.
Naturally the NRL is a step up but he has shown that he has more than the potential to handle it without concern
