Now you know some power hungry nutter has got on his high horse and banned people on fiction and suspicion not fact( something one certain mod does not believe in).
How about you apologise and re-activate the accounts that have been done wrong, i am all for getting rid of the trouble makers, even i could have been suspended a couple of times but please stop taking the morale high ground and banning all new accounts. This place would be extremely boring if it was just me bagging The Teflon one and R6 defending him whilst ogling a nude pic on Pearce's twitter account.

Seriously this forum is as dead as dead can be. Lets be realistic. We don't even have any mods anymore. They have all gone except for R6 and occasionally G-man. Chris, the owner of the site, seems to have moved on many years ago.

Why can't we revitalize it? Make it a free for all. That's the fun of internet forums in my opinion. I enjoy copping abuse and dishing it out. Honestly, how many active users are there at the moment? Can't be more than 20 or so. Lets get the members back and make the joint fun again.

Is it time for new Mods? I think so.

If innocent new members are copping immediate bans for being suspected of being a "turk alias", wouldn't it make more sense to admit defeat and allow the original poster to carry on posting under the original moniker?

I ain't exactly what you'd call computer literate , and probably aren't up there with on-line etiquette , but I don't recall him being an abusive or offensive poster.

My position with moderation has always been that you can't ban people. Guys like Turk are passionate Roosters fans and they'll find a way back if you ban them. Just frigging let Turk be Turk... and let him use the Turk account so that there's none of this bloody guessing!!! Users can then block Turk's posts if they don't like his contributions... easy as that.

Dude I would be happy enough to be a mod as well. I have the time and feel capable. However, I think you will find the mysterious powers that still pretend to flog this dead horse won't let that happen.

This site was awesome when people were arguing all of the time and baiting each other. Some of the best times on this forum have been as a result of a fun "troll".

At one stage I actually stopped using this site as I figured all of the remaining users were versions of Turk and/or Johnny. Now that was out of hand but it doesn't need to come to that.

I will admit that I'm in two minds about this - on the one hand I get incredibly frustrated by having to trawl through the drivvle some members and their many alter egos post in order to find an intelligent footy related comment, but on the other hand I can't see the point in banning them as they only re-appear anyway and it's become a never-ending cycle of banning and the creation of yet another alter ego.

It is impossible to block these drivvle posts when they are posted under a different identity every few days.

It's unfortunate that genuine new forum members may get caught in the cross-fire and are banned as they are mistaken as an alter-ego, but I can't blame the Mods for trying to stop the lunatics from running the asylum, and it would be hard to differentiate between alter egos and genuine newbies, especially if the Mods have limited time to do this.

I just wish that some posters wouldn't see this forum as an opportunity to be such attention seeking twats who have to hijack every conversation. The classic Kath and Kim "Look at me, look at me" mentality.

To be honest, criticising the Mods achieves nothing. If anyone feels they can do a better job they can always set up an alternative website and see how they go trying to keep it active and available to everyone, whilst keeping the 'rubbish' to a minimum. They'll soon find It's a thankless job.

I do what Tobin does, I only generally read people that I like reading and don't bother reading others.

Having said that, some years ago I was banned because a mod thought I was operating under different names at the same time which wasn't true at all (I've never done that) and it took me ages to bother coming back on here. But I don't blame mods.

Don't agree with you at all in regards to your 'free for all' forum. I have no prob with someone starting a tongue in cheek thread like 'Pearce in hot water'. I don't have to read those so they are fine with me and I'm surprised they were banned.

What I can't deal with is the constant derailing of threads because two or three idiots wanna abuse each other. You see that a thread you are interested in has been updated so you go in to read it only to find out it's only a couple of 'kids' abusing each other and it has nothing to do with the subject. It eventually happens to most threads. I don't understand why anyone finds that fun.

I'm 50yrs old. I have no idea why anyone wants to throw abuse over a forum. I mean most of the time they don't know each other, have no idea what each other looks like. You could be arguing with a 7 yr old, or a 70yr old. You usually don't know.

At the end of the day, all you are really doing is abusing your computer, or your tablet, or your smartphone 🤔🤔

I swear there have been threads where he's talking to himself under 4 or 5 different aliases. It's pretty ****ing out there; crazy shit lol
