    starting backline could be

    Gordon

    Mitchell
    Fergo

I wonder what the toops/latrell defensive combo would be like? Better than Copley?

      A car crash?

      Slow motion infanticide?

Unfortunately probably as good as the Fergo/SKD combo.
I'm pretty sure that Bronte Rooster broke the news of Mitchell at centre to us about a month ago.

Good move by robbo. latrell will crave them up at center with his size and speed and strength he would have been wasted on the wing the more he gets the ball the better it is for us.He will score more than 14 trys this year.

I'm a big fan of seeing Latrell in the centres. I agree that he is likely to carve it up. I look forward to seeing what Latrell looks like in a winning side as well. Hopefully we get to find out in 2017.

I wonder whether weight issue will haunt him through his career and thus impede him from playing at fullback.

The storm in the 2012 decider and our squad in 13 showed how centres need to be on D and MJ and Jimmy at least were pretty good in decision making defensively out wide. It's been said, (fergo mainly) but our backline defense is troubling. I hope latrell kicks ass tho, might put a rocket up toops

I actually think the majority of our outside back defensive woes of last season started with nikorima and Watson at 5/8. The centres didn't help but they didn't trust the inside man and the rush in defence just won't work against skilled halves.

I reckon Latrell will prove similar to Inglis in the sense that centre will always be his best position, but with his size and strength he's so devastating that he'll make a great fullback too.

Yep I can see him playing a lot of rep footy at centre whilst playing his club footy at Fullback.

I worry for Latrell this season, his biggest challenge this year will be expectation. He's still only a 19yr old kid but the wider Rugby League community love nothing more than shooting down a hyped up teenager.

this is my fear as well, hopefully the light turns on for him and he makes the most of his ability.

Mitchell does not have the stamina to play fullback at this stage of his career. I would never know this but a teammate of his told this to a friend of mine.

We were also missing Cords for a while on the left last year that didn't help. If Latrell follows Cords lead with the reads he should do OK.
