And this bloke too perhaps?? Coach Smith was very interested last year but his asking price was too steep.

Warrington Wolves centre Matt King says he remains undecided on his future, but is in discussions with the club.

The 30-year-old Australian is out of contract at the end of season at the Halliwell Jones and is considering a return to the NRL.

“I’ve got a few options to weigh up,” he told BBC Radio Manchester.

“Hopefully within the next two-to-three weeks everything with the contract will be sorted and one way or the other we’ll come up with a decision.”

King joined the club from Australian side Melbourne Storm in 2007 and has become a popular figure at the club.

“I’ve been very open with Smithy [head coach Tony Smith] but the owner as well, and I get along really well with those guys,” he added.

“They know of my desires next year and they also know that I’m an Aussie and at some stage I’m going to want to go home.

“Whether that is next year or whether I sign another contract with Warrington and then go home, I still don’t know.”

I'd sign him without question. I've said in another thread he could be a good option to look at in the future, and my opinion has not changed. He's a great player and I'd pay him more than what he is on now just to secure him for 3-4 years. Will play Origin and he'll be a 10 year player. If he is exclusively one sided - who cares? Dominant centre-wing partnerships win premierships - even if you only have one.

According to the canberra fans, it is not attitude, he is out of favour with Furner. Raiders fans are pissed off that it is even being spoken about, vidot leaving that is.

He would be the EXACT player we need..

Problem is we'll have to pay overs for him if we are to get him because there'll be another 14 clubs interested.

Apparently he has attitude problems according to a Raiders mate of mine. Believes his own hype, slacks off at training, late for game days etc.

              Chook.

They sound like 'ego' attitude problems rather than behavioural issues (like Carney, Mason etc). I would rather deal with someone with an ego than a guy who is a farkwit and liable to lead others astray. A decent coach should be able to handle a bloke with an ego (here come the posts whinging about Smith...)

Most players fall into that category.

What I meant was, he is not a drunk that is going to be in the papers week after week for drink driving, urinating in public, chucking ice at people in night clubs, being sent to AA, stealing pescription drugs from old ladies, or (god help us) taking a crap in the corridor. At least he doesn't sound like he has those sort of issues.

I'm with Vasco. Most players have egos coming through the ranks. Usually what happens to these guys that get dumped, the ego/confidence takes a hit and they turn up to their NEW club with a different approach.

Who cares? If a quality player comes onto the market that we could do with, why would we ignore him? We aren't exactly overwhelmed with talented backs begging for a first grade spot. Hell, we've still got Phil "I'm worse than Daniel Fitzhenry" Grahm on our books who still manages regular first grade appearances...
