I don't see the problem with the chance to donate. It is a choice after all. It's not a requirement.
It's like all the other pleas you get in the mail to support one cause after another. You either bin them or you don't.
Personally, I'd rather donate to a cause where I know where the money is going than to a charity where you have no idea where your money goes.
Many of the charities constantly crying poor never tell you where your money is giong - it could be buying new office furniture for all you know or a trip overseas for some nuffie, rather than going where it's actually needed.
I know I don't donate to many of our biggest charities after some of the things Ive heard about how they manage their donations.
As far as getting value for your donation, you have more chance at the Roosters than many other charities. As I said, at least you know what you're donating to.
