Would love to be a fly on the wall in that meeting.

They are reporting that the only topic that the coaches wanted to discuss was the Bunker, Refereeing and MRC. If that is the case the coaches should take the same stance as what the CEO's did against Tony Archer and the MRC.

Seriously, if we the fans have to tolerate the same non sense we have witnessed this year then the game is well and truly dead as it is pathetic as to how the system is operating. I think Robbo is spot on about a coaches union and that responses from Archer have to be delivered at a certain time frame once the request has been made. That is a joke that not one coach got a response this year from Archer about rule interpretations...

I think the drama within the NRL just doesn't stop with John Grant in the meantime as I believe further shake ups are going to occur in this off season.

This whole Grant thing feels like a strategic coup with Dib and Politis pulling the strings.

I mean, we'll end up with Quayle, Canavan and Greenberg in the top 3 positions (two Easts and one Canterbury). Funny that.

Greenberg is next in the sights. And the more he sticks by Grant the worse for him. I'm surprised he hasn't sold Grant out already.

Perhaps, although I wouldn't be so sure. I mean, these things are complex and Greenberg is a good politician. I wouldn't at all be surprised if he's been playing a long game the whole time.

I know shit-all about most things, but one area I have had some experience in is business, or more specifically the business of screw-or-get-screwed and this reeks of a strategic takeover that's been brewing for a looooooooong time.

How the Snake Oil salesman Greenturd got the job in the first place is a travesty.

                  But not atypical.

Replace Grant with Quayle, Greenberg with Bernie Gurr, Archer with Luke Phillips, Robbo remain as sole coach on rules committee. Problems solved.

Let's not forget Greenturd owes Grant big time.

Grant stood by him when he came under intense scrutiny & questioning when Barba was playing for the Dogs & "allegedly" gave his missus a fat lip etc.....Greenturd who was their CEO when the alleged assault took place denied claims of inappropriateness and could easily have been dethroned from his new NRL position - Head of Football.

IMO Greenturd is a wise owl who's just playing the supportive role and knows the writing is on the wall for his boss.

I wouldn't mind seeing Katie Page (Mrs Harvey Norman) replace Grant. Independent and without prejudice.

Doesn't anyone feel that maybe Geoff Toovey would make a great CEO of Rugby League?

He is a CPA and is currently on the board for the NRMA, knows Rugby League inside out and knows exactly what the fans want so if there is anybody suitable for either position is him

Agree. Doubt they'll put him there though. He won't act as a puppet.

Feels like a poisoned chalice to me. They're all in it for the money and perks, 'cause between Murdoch, the QRL and then Politis and his cabal; they're all on a hiding to nothing.
