Well guys I am not really one for rumours. I'm not in Australia and I absolutely know nobody close to the club.

However, a good friend of my father is a former Newtown fringe player that is a good mate of Gus Gould. Said former player told my father that the negotiations have been going on for a few weeks and the deal is very close to being completed. Apparently Gould views Anasta as the perfect 5/8 and senior player to help rebuild the team and club culture.

I sure hope this is true. The Anasta problem has been discussed to death on this forum but it seems we may finally be free of him. Fingers crossed.

Well maybe it was and maybe it wasn't. Has the club announced Anasta has re-signed? I am yet to see or hear anything. I think we are now hearing he will stay so he looks bad and the club looks good when he signs with Penrith. It ain't over until the fat lady sings.

if anasta goes then the other werris creek should go as well - namely a mr. nick.politis.
the club has become a greek tragedy with politis the director.
one premiership in 35 years since his involvement with board.his stand over tactics is why the roosters never got bennett.
his talk of building a winning culture is pathetic.his decision making with his puppet board members on coaching staff is indicative of being the complete opposite in what he and the board project. in the last 10 years we had to put up with his poor decision making -murray stuart anderson smith and now elliott.politis needs to go.i have followed this club for 44years and never have i been so angry with what politis and his puppets are doing to this foundation club.
