Chase Blair, Ryan Williamson, Tau Tau Moga, Tanne Milne, BJ Leilua & Curtis Rona just to name a few have all been let go because they didn't instantly become the best outside back in the game but hopefully Manu is given time & becomes a very good first grader for the Roosters.

Well put mate, we have a serious problem with expecting instant success from young up and comers. I'd still like to see him play a solid season at Wyong and fill in in first grade when needed. Question is do the club have the patience to persist with him because he still has simple errors in his game that need to be worked out

This comes down to not having a proper reserve grade for players to develop. To be honest First Grade is not a place for players to learn basic fundamentals, nor can you carry a player for years in First Grade before they are ready. We got rid of some of those players because we had others who were considered as good and in the case of BJ he was acting extremely unprofessionally off the field and was cut as a result. He has only really showed any consistency this year because he has grown up mentally.

BJ is the only one of them I regret losing (only this season by the way) - and he was let go because he was a basket case off the field not because of form etc.

Geez your pushing the barrow there a bit.. Cheyse Blair is only standard NRL quality. Needs a team like Melbourne to make him worth much
Ryan Williamson was a prick - I say that from my meetings with him - that walked out on the club to go back to the bush so he could keep drinking with his mates Tau Tau Moga hasn't exactly done anything due to injury so who knows?? Tanne Milne so far can't keep his spot in the Dragons 1st grade squad
BJ Leilua is the only one that has really kicked on in huge bounds.. But remembering we kicked him out for his drunken antics & then Newcastle dumped him as well.
Curtis Rona is a solid 1st grader but nothing above that. Not exactly someone that this club misses.

Robbo wasn't involved with any of those except Moga and Milne, and they arent exactly world beaters
