  • Make a play for elijah taylor

according to fox sports his future is undecided and i would love to see us make a genuine attempt at getting him. Very underrated player and solid defensively

I dont know why the West Tigers wouldnt resign him because he made a massive difference to their side when he transferred from Penrith mid season.
Apparently he is off to Rugby Union.
The Roosters need another big front-rower JWH & Napa size. Taylor was more of a lock or back-rower IMO & the Roosters have enough of them.

If we didnt already have SST, Liu and Butcher I'd agree, but like Mickie said, we have plenty of locks

Difference is that Taylor is a ball player. None of our forwards are and it's something we certainly lack.

Agree we need a ball playing forward but need the size of a front rower where we are very short. Club should of gone hard for Ben Matilino when Warriors were looking to off load him

Taylor isn't a ball player, he only has 4 try assists in is whole career.

He taps the ball on a lot to his other forwards and halves, sure but he's no ball player. And I think that only suits some teams style of play, it worked for Wests partly because neither Brooks or Moses are organisers both pretty much stick to their edges and partly because they didn't have a recognised dummy half for most of the year. Really the task of pushing your forwards around the park, getting the team to certain parts of the field and organising the side should be left to your dummy half & halfback of which we are already well serviced.

There are plenty of clubs who need a player like Elijah Taylor, I just don't think we're one of those.

Nat Butcher is our future no.13. And he's only a year away from being ready at the latest.

It'd be a disaster to stick a roadblock in his way now. Especially Elijah Taylor who, whilst solid, is nothing spectacular.

And no, he most certainly is not a ball player as R6 pointed out.

SST ball plays in the same way Taylor does, just Taylor does it more prominently.

I like Taylor but I don't think we need him, I see our future backrow being

                11. Cordner
                12. SST
                13. Butcher

With Liu at prop, or on the bench.

We could move Pearce to the front row, apparently he can ball play

                    I'm surprised at you BC.
                    Taylor a ball player?
                    Now you know he's a ball-tapper, right?

                    Tappity, tappity, tap..
