  • Sam Moa to Catalan

According to an article on the League Live app this morning. Interesting that it has now been taken down but the article quoted Sam saying he was looking forward to living and playing in France so I presume it is genuine.

Sam Moa: Catalans Dragons sign Sydney Roosters' New Zealand prop for 2017

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-league/37575076

Catalans Dragons have signed New Zealand international prop Sam Moa from Sydney Roosters on a two-year deal from the 2017 Super League season.

The Dragons have lost several senior players, including Eloi Pelissier, Romain Navarette and Glenn Stewart.
NRL Grand Final winner Moa, 30, replaces Navarette and the retired Willie Mason who left last season.
"I'm delighted to sign a player of Sam's calibre," head coach Laurent Frayssinous said.
It is Moa's second spell in Super League, having played 78 times for Hull FC between 2007 and 2012.

All the best to the big fella.
Proved a stack of people wrong with his return to the NRL (including myself)
Was a pleasure watching you play for this great club

4 good years of service to Easts. Big role in our premiership. Hopefully LaDylan and Evans have learned some stuff from Sammy

Watching him break Glenn Stewart early on in the 2013 GF was awesome.

He was great for us, always consistent.

It's incredible that he could not find an NRL gig.

I always loved watching him play , he really stood up on the big occasions , and when we were down on troops he took them all on.
                  Good luck Sam.

100% best wishes to Sam. Fantastic on the field and an interesting and intelligent interviewee off it. Good luck with Catalans and good luck with the carpentry.

Brought to the club as a no name but played just as good as the big names.
Tough pocket rocket who was a true gentleman.
Thanks for putting in at the Roosters & good luck at the Catalans

I know Souffs wanted him and the deal was so called done but not signed I guess he got more money over there
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

I'd say he probably could have, but catalans would have probably offered more with all those forwards off contract

Great player for our club, I'll miss him but I agree with the club to not re-sign him.
