  • Grand final predictions:

This game has really got me thinking.
If I care to break down both teams and analyse the major players from each team, who should come out on top.

    1. Key experience in important positions.

Cronk and Smith are elite big game specialists.
We dont really know how Munster and Green will fare.

Ennis and Townsend are outclassed here, clearly a large advantage to the Storm.
Whilst Maloney and Barba outpoint their Storm rivals.

Still give it a 10-9 to the Storm because the two good ones are that good!

    2. Coaches.

    Knockout to Bellamy.
Won comps before, knows how to produce when it counts.
Flanagan as yet hasnt done anything, Steve Price was assistant to a winning side as has been Flanno.
Still its clearly 10-8 in terms of coaching.

    3. Overall roster.
    I favour Cronulla here.
Gallen, Fifita, Ennis, Graham, Bird, Maloney, Lewis, Barba, Holmes....all rep players. All travelling OK.
Melbourne have the big two plus Bromwich and Chambers and Proctor.
    10-9 Sharks

    4Home ground advantage

will favour Cronulla with the crowd and sentiment behind them. Storm have won away before in GF.
    10-9 Sharks

    So Ihave it

    Melbourne 37
    Sharks 36

Has to be Melbourne 1-12 for the big one......currently paying $2.85.
    Good luck.
    barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

Watch the beginning of the footy show every year I pick the winner out of observing their body language - Cronulla to win
Hate both teams so who gives a fark who wins.
    Cronulla have to score points
if its a tight one then Melbourne are good at winning those this year...but relying on penalties may not apply in thgis game.
Draw extra 10 minutes draw golden point time.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

I reckon Cronulla will win mainly cause of the relatively easy win over the Cows. Also, their experience - average age 28.
Nearly the entire Cronulla side have rep experience.
They just need to follow Fifita around the park for his offloads.
Having said all that, I can't stand the two - headed bogun drug cheating inbred Farks.

        Melbourne are just as Farked.
        Go the mighty Roosters.

It's one of the most underwhelming GFs in recent memory.

The Sydney team no one cares about vs the Victorian franchise nobody likes.

It'll be a boring game and I still don't know who I would prefer to win. Because of that I'm just going to enjoy the tears of whoever loses; as either team crying will bring me joy so that's my silver lining.

Ftr, Storm by 10. Too efficient, too classy and too good in defence.

Fifita has been a beast the last month. If he continues in that form, Ennis and Jimmy will get some space and time and should be able to set up some points.
Lewis and the 'Self Promoter' will be a calming influence, and I like the hardness of Bakuya off the bench.
UpUp just need to be patient for the first 30 mins, and they showed that against the Cows, so I think they'll get home.
Townsend needs a haircut, fair dinkum, who is he trying to channel from the 80's, or is he sponsored by the new Dyson hairdryer?

                  LOL, good post.

For most of the NRL 'other' Team following people out there, it definitely a "support who you hate least" GF. As I said above, Cronulla probably have more speed and are fresher IMO, but I cannot stand their club, players, fans, coach, etc, and they are also dirty DRUG CHEATS.
So go the STORM (you cap cheating grubby scum).

Absolutely sick of hearing that "Sydney" are behind the sharks. Bull 'farking' Shyte !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Melbourmes biggest strength is their structure.
Cronullas biggest strength is their lack of structure, the Unknown.
Storm have big GF game experience, discipline and professionalism.
Sharks have no GF experience , no discipline and being mercenaries is a poor excuse for professionalism.
