  • Victor Radley

Watching this young fella play over the past few weeks and he seems to get better each week. He reads the game well and always seems to put himself in the right place at the right time. He hits hard, runs hard, has good ball security too. He plays with great maturity. I wonder if he could add something off the bench in first grade next year? He reminds me of a young Shane Rigon in that he is not overly big in size but has aggression, ticker and leg speed. Probably a far better defender than Rigon. Thoughts?

Yeh I really like what I've seen from him in the second row and he'd offer some utility value off the bench given he's played a lot of dummy half in his junior footy.

I can't find a spot for him in our top 17 but he could potentially get a game when we lose a few to Origin. I'd let him continue to develop as a second rower in the 20's though. Seems like a really good kid, shares a lot of characteristics with Cordner. Just does everything with 100% conviction.

Yeah I like him too. Leave him in the 20s tho to grow and develop. I would have thought next season would be too early for FG.
I was a big fan of Shane Rigon. Like Maubs, probably a victim of his versatility. But tough as nails.

He is only just 18 and will be our next big real local junior

Very humble and respectful as well.

I liken Victor to Adam Docker....their toughness considering their stature.

I don't know if you can really put him on the same level as Docker, with the adversity he faced

Toughness on the field, putting their bodies into each play.

Spot on JC, no need to rush him. He still needs time to grow and develop his game, however he looks a really good prospect.

                      Are you sure about that?
From what I have read about him he played 5/8 with the Clovelly crocodiles & has recently been moved to the back-row.

Victor was a lock with the Crocs.
Forced into the halves during HM and SG Ball by Roosters
