Thats funny,. Gillard could not coach a dog out of its kennel with a chocolate biscuit.
i have mates who have kids coached by him and the kids love him but he is clueless. Maybe its harsh but I also have mates whose kids are coached by Adiran Lam and that bloke has forgotten more than Gillard will tell you he knows (and thats a fair bit)

I don't think Cleary will come as an assistant, but as head coach and Trent becoming head of operations or something like Gould is at the Panthers. I rate Cleary highly and would like to see him at the Roosters (again), and probably have Lam as his assistant.

Why would Trent become 'head of operations' just four years into his NRL coaching career?

Cleary has had minimal success as an NRL coach. I think he's a good coach but not a great coach as he's often portrayed.

I don't know why people thiink this. I know the bloke through our kids and you could not meet a nicer guy who also knows his RL
The players like and respect him as well. I think the bagging is just ignorance looking for more excuses for our poor season
