What's the bet that Archer will defend every dodgy decision?

Let's face it - this sport is a joke.

        That was a fix.

        No doubt about it.

There were a dozen calls in that game that all went the Broncos way.

The refereeing in these games is a bit like a Marsh & Boon opening stand. They don't always win it for you outright, but they'll get you off to a good start and lay a great platform for success...

Followed the Roosters since 67 - didn't watch the game and after reading comments here about the semi validates my decision not to watch any 2016 semis. My silent protest towards the NRL.

Can't believe they penalised titans for the broncos winger jumping too early for a bomb and then falling over a titans player. Although not sure if nrl rigged the game why they wouldn't rig it for the team they own in the goldcoast.

There is no way the titans could have won that game with the diabolical refereeing that took place. Home ground advantage, nrl rigging , keeping the broncos in the finals, call it what you will. It was a farce.

The James Roberts kick in the back was a joke.

If Anyone wants a real laugh watch the Archer presser. Halarious. He obviously hasn't had days to plan and get advice on answers so he stutters his way through and looks like a tool. Hold on, he is a tool.

Thank god that wasn't the roosters on the end of that. I'd give the game away.

I'm not one to get on here or just in general bag refs for there performances during games because the players and coaches make plenty more errors then they do during games and they are human but this video ref is just beyond a joke. From what Archer said, he basically wasn't asked to check the play the ball so didn't. Regardless, at every kick that results in a try, the first thing they check is whether the players are on side, whether there asked or not so that bull shits that excuse.
The video ref was brought in, much like in cricket to make sure the refs didn't make howlers. What was last night?
                            If Roberts doesn't get 6 weeks it's a joke.

Now, have the rules changed? I thought you were allowed to do what ever you wanted to stop a try as long as you didn't commit an illegal act in the process. Tell me what Hurrell did that was illegal? His foot made contact with the ball only, not the player. For me that's no try Titans ball if he recovers cleanly and 6 to go.

Lots of double speak from Archer. "The bunker has been a 99.9% success this year". BS unqualified call from him.
The kicking incident not looked at as it was before the play the ball. BS. The process of the PTB should include every action from when the tackle is made. Wonder if the kicker (Roberts?)will be charged by MRC???? Methinks not.

If the NRL thinks they can cover the game management up by having Archer at the game doing pressers, they are mistaken. He has no credibility.

With the game currently being under review due to fears of match fixing, a review of referees decisions needs to be considered as part of that review.

As the game is awash with "stakeholders" such as betting agencies, which in itself is highly questionable. The work of one individual can with a few decisions change the outcome of a game, as well as influencing a range of exotic betting options. Their arbitrary use of the laws of the games is apparent as is the broad range of personal interpretation available for the referees to apply to these laws.

In addition to this the intervention of the video referee is highly questionable at times and using the excuse he wasn't asked to look at foul play puts a lot of doubt into rugby league followers trust in the integrity of the game.
